I would like to know if a payday lender can placed a judgement against you. Avantis Financial did so. Can anyone tell me if they are a legal lender? I live in New Jersey and I know payday loans are illegal and can they do this?

Three months ago I was served with a summons by a creditor's attorney. While researching the matter on the Internet, several people advised me to answer the complaint on the grounds that the attorney -- who was hoping for a default judgment -- might drop the matter if I responded. I consulted an attorney at Legal Aid and told her that because many of the charges on the defaulted credit card had been unauthorized, the judge might dismiss the suit.

i apply for a payloan and give them my credit imformation and now usa benefits going in my checking account an got 49.95 from it for a credit report i never sign up for .i never expected out of checking account plus a a bank charge of 34.00 beecause i didnt have the funds in there so im over draft is for 83.95 how do i stop this and get my money . this really hurts right now im about to lose my car because of this causing my payment to balance . can anyone help me get my money back .

On Point Law Center took me for 2200.00 dollars, they said I qualified for a loan modification and two weeks later said I didn't then deceided not to return my money. My mortgage company never heard of them and said no law firm ever contacted them about my loan. All there corisponse with me was a fraud. I am having the postal inspectors, the FBI Fraud department, and the California State's Attorney's Officer investigating them now. DON"T DEAL WITH THEM AT ALL, THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

How can you get credit card companies to lower their interest rates?

Ok, I have been trying to research Credit Protection Depot, cause they I guess are handling my illegal PDL with Discountadvances.com and guess what the BBB report says that their rating is a NR and that this company is no longer in business. Well they are calling me???
