Hello all- I filed chapter 7 and have already had my hearing. Now I received a letter from a company called Purchasing Power. I did purchase two items from them. One was an IPOD and the other was a flat screen toshiba tv. For those of you that don't know, Purchasing Power is a firm that sells computers and other electronics, and then you pay through payroll deductions. You are usually paying a much higher price for the items - because of this. When I filed bankruptcy, I had paid about 60% of the IPOD and 50% of the TV.

I got laid off. I have 2 credit cards. One is about 9,000 and the other is 19,000. Would anyone even touch my problem seeing that I don't have a job.

All this member does is cut and paste addresses and info on collection agencies. No contribution, no discussion. Just collects points by googling CA'.

I applied for a Citimortgage mortgage modification and was put on trial payments at 50% of my original payment. 6 MONTHS LATER, was told I was approved, and they adjusted my payment to 95% which I still can't afford, and can't sell my house since it's now worth less than what I paid 12 years ago. NOW, they send me a bill for over $5k! I couldn't afford my mortgage payments with my reduced income, and now I'm supposed to pay them $5K due in 15 days? Where they came up with the $5k, I don't know.

what is the number to allied collections?

I received a settlement letter and it stated after I pay the amount agreed upon that my credit report will say Account paid in full for less than the full balance. Is this OK? I tried to get them to state paid in full only and they would not go for that.

I was served a complaint, which I answered in the correct time and then the bank filed a motion for a summary judgement. Is there something I should file to counter this or should I sit and wait for the court's decision. Any info would be helpful, thanks.
