what happens if you settled a credit card debt but failed to make a payment?

This form letter is full of mis-leading and inaccurate information. Unless this customer has a specific complaint regarding the handling of their account, we do not believe a response is warranted. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. 12/18/09 Response We need to add, she just got 300.00 deposited into her account, at her request for her own use.

Hi all, I'm so glad I found this forum.. I have an issue I need some advice on, but I'm not sure if this is the right place, please let me know! The issue with Asset Acceptance LLC (I know you guys are shocked). An old (2007) credit card was sold to AA, I paid the total amount due in June of this year and recieved a letter stating the account was paid. How do I get my credit report updated? Currently it's showing as charged-off & sold.

Ok, I am a bit confused on the response I receiveed from the BBB on PDL Ventures. Wouldnt you think receiving too many complaints would make them want to go after them not stop. I live in colorado and have a debt collector getting money from me for a almost 12 year old debt from illinois which was a court ruling with another individual. The other individual has been served papers and is making payments. I was recently served papers and contacted the debt collector and agreed on a payment plan for 3 months. Now I have been sued to have my pay garnished while I am making my payments to the agreed amount.

I got a letter from a lawyer, William G Sokol in New Jersey, trying to collect an unlicensed payday loan I had from CMG Group. The principal was $250. I have paid at least $375 in fees before I closed my bank account. Now this lawyer says I owe $400 CMG never made any contact with me except an email to tell me it had been passed on to a company called Debt Management Partners. Never heard from them at all. Any ideas on how to proceed? I believe this loan was paid as CMG are illegal in Texas. Should I write this attorney or ignore it?

Anybody ever heard of Investigator Williams or recognize this number 1-866-703-1014. When I googled the number I read some complaints, It looks as if he might represent Cash Net USA. Does anyone also now which one of these PDL is from Cash Net USA Centuria LPUSA/Genova Roth CMG Group llc Connect to cash International Payment Services Ameriloan 500 Fast Cash Loanshoppe JHS MArketing AceCashServices Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am getting threatening phone calls at work from Professional Debt Management. They identify themselves as "PDM" and insist on speaking to my supervisor and getting my work address. They harass me at home as well and tell me that I am being taken to court, etc. They said they are calling on behalf of a Pay Day Loan company but did not say which one. I thought at first they were Phoenix Debt Management but my caller ID shows PRO Debt Management. Are these the same people as Phoenix? Anyone have any experience with them?
