Hi. I just learned from a former co-worker that my old PDL's (illegal ones) are calling. I worked for a big banking corp and was fired for my employee checking account being overdrawn- its a violation of ethics. Good news - I do have a job now and pays more than what I did at the corp place. Anyways, I was fired back in May of 2009. I fixed my legal PDL problems back in February of 2009 when I realized I had a problem.

My boyfriend got contacted by first national collections concerning a discover card debt from 2000. There was a judgement put against him in massachuettes for $8600. My boyfriend was never made aware of the suit because he hasn't lived there since early 2000. First national wants him to pay $14,000. His credit report is showing a closed discover card in 2000 with a zero balance. What should he do about the debt? First national said if he doesn't pay they will sue him in florida since that is where he is living.

Does anyone know if payday one is a legal payday compnay in Ohio. I sent them a letter and told them they can no longer have any contact with me and my bank and from what I have paid in rollover and fees my loan should be paid in full 3 times over. They still insist if owe $1085.00

I have a storefront payday loan in KY. After over 2 years of paying this off every month, and then having to write another post-dated check to cover my bills, I just can't afford to do it anymore. I sent the company a $50 money order along with a note letting them know I would pay this every month until my debt was repaid, and they sent it back to me. No note, no nothing - just the money order I had sent them. I don't know what to do now.

Long story short...I'd Never missed a single payment on any account, my oldest account is 12 years...My Interest rates were increased to the max, and the minimum pays doubled or tripled. I called and asked for lower rates in January 2009, Their answer: NO,... the economys too bad. Decided early 09 to pay them all off, paid off $17,500 to 2 cards in February...My reward...My Credit lines were dropped to at or near the balance, reason given: to maintain profitability???
