Well as most of us here in PDL debt I was looking to consolidate. I recieved a call from PBL and they said they can work with me even though im not in default. Does anyone know about this company?

can i sue a ccollector for accusing me of stealing. i have a voicemail of his dclaring me a theif.

Everyone here is really knowledgable and knowledge is power. But I have just learned (long story short) that my husband has racked up 150 K in credit card bills trying to keep our rental property business afloat I guess. Here my question. What is you advise for not completely freaking out. I have NEVER felt so stuck, lost, afraid, hopeless. we are fighting alot...everything is falling apart around me words of support and/or wisdom would be greatly appreciated tx

Good Morning All! I'm soo happy I've stumbled upon this site. I'm soliciting some help in determine which of my online payday loans are illegal. I've already closed my account with BofA (which was easier than I thought) since they have that stupid "30 day rule". The manager was very nice and put my account on a "Balance Hold" So if you have an account with B of A and need to close it don't call customer service! They are clueless. But I' learning from my mistake about these loans (need the cash to pay for some hefty funeral expenes) and now want to put a stop to it!

I obtained a payday loan from Ameriloan back in May in the amount of $400. I was unaware that payday loans in NJ are illegal until I found this site. As of date I have paid them $1,275.00. Since I had outstanding checks pending I did not close my account yet. I contacted the bank to dispute the over payments of $875 in which they told me I could not dispute payday loan payments. I am closing the account this week, but wanted to know how I go about getting my overpayments back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why is it necessary to send a revokation of wage assaigment to my employer if I already sent one to the pdl company? I am in Minnesota and all my loans were unlicensed so should I even be worried about not sending one to my employer? What if my employer wouldn't honor it?

Hi everyone. Here's my situation: My husband and I have recently separated. I have no job, no savings, NOTHING. I do, however, have a wonderful 6 month old baby boy and lots of debt. I'm currently living with my mom while my husband is allowing me to use the credit card to purchase necessary things until I get a job. I'd ideally like to go back to school but that isn't happening now. So... I spoke with DCS yesterday to try and make some sort of arrangement with them with my federal student loan.

I was wondering if the settlement decisions made by a creditor have to do with the status of your credit report. You see so many stories from so many different people about settlement percentages, ranging from 20-80%. I've read stories that the creditor will not budge from 70% and others who get 20%, all while i've heard that 35% is the lowest they will go. What i'm getting at is do the creditors look at who else you owe and your current situation according to your credit report to base their settlement %.
