in an effort to start clearing my credit report up, i sent out some settlement letters. 1 went to First Premier for a credit cards i had. I requested a pay to delete agreement but they came back and offered a "paid in full/chargeoff".... i really want to pay this debt but i also want it either removed completely from my report or at the least the charge off part removed....how can i make this happen???? this really feels like a dang on chess game and i need help with my next move.... any help is greatly appreciated

We recently recieved a letter from UCR regarding my husbands AMEX cc account. He attempted to contact AMEX and see if he could work directly with them and they just told him no and that he had to talk to UCR. However AMEX also sends a letter saying that we could go onto the AMEX website and make a payment to them. How do we get AMEX to talk to us, we want to settle with them. The account is 90 days late.

I have been talking in a prior Thread but thought I would start a new one if that was ok with the group. ok i am really scared, I need to know if anyone has dealed with Citibank and closing a account to stop ACH withdraws. I am going to going and see the one lady there I know, but I am truely affraid she wont understand my issue, I am taking in my letters of revoke and also the information I printed from the Calif Corps website , I really want to make sure they wont prosecute me.

Hi everyone. Been a little while since i been on here...but I am happy to re[port since discovering this site my credit score has went up 50 pts :).. now to the topic. Got in financial trouble...had to get a payday loan.. etc etc etc (yall heard that part 1000's of times :) I defaulted on my loan with CashNetUsa (or whoever their bank is as they are a CSO) the amt was 350.00 and after the fees and such they are saying i owe 530 something. here is where it gets tricky: As stated in their contract it says they can re-run any returned ach 2 times. well they did that..

So from what I understand, rollovers in Nevada cannot exceed 60 days past the original loan date. So what does that mean for places whom I suspect are illegal and rollover and over for months? Also, if payday loans are legal in Nevada and I used an internet company that I can't find a license for, are they illegal?

I just got a call on my cell phone that was very fuzzy and hard to understand - also the person had an Indian-type accent. It sounded like he said he was from Mike SCHMIDT Company - and that the government was putting my SSN and address on hold since I am under investigation. And to call him back at 561-953-1166 or he would be forced to start legal actions against me. I know it is a load of crap - but I wanted to find out if anyone knows this number. I did a search for it on here and on google and came up with nothing.

I spoke with an AmEx rep today and she asked me to make at least some kind of "good faith" payment. She said even $10 would show that I was trying. Is this a good idea? I could afford $10 but not much more. Would that keep AmEx from possibly settling at some point in the future? I have been a great customer, paying my bills faithfully since 2002. They don't consider me a high risk at this point so I'm not getting very good deals on their hardship programs at this point.

I just received a summons from an old credit card for almost $11,000 which there is NO WAY ican pay. What is the least amount I should try to get away with paying? Will it make a big difference if I try to get a lump sum or will payment work?

Question - Kenneth Weller sent me a private message asking how to change his name. He said he PMed Vikas and Jason but would like to post but cannot due to his full name being on the internet. He has messaged me twice and I hate to see him hanging.. I said if he feels comfortable he can post in members only because it is more private but is there anything else I can do besides having him wait for a response? I feel like such a newbie again

I have been continually harrassed at my work phone number by Flobridge Group (formerly Cash N Dash). In all the letters I've sent them I have prohibited them to call me at that number, yet they continue, also leaving ominous messages about being sent to "The Garnishment Department". Is there any law that prohibits the OC from calling you at a number you have strictly prohibited that they call you on? I am at the end of my rope with them and as far as me paying them anything else, they can just suck wind. Any help is greatly appreciated!
