Hi, I hope someone here can help me. I have read many of the threads and took the first step. I closed my bank account. I have a loan with Mycashnow and live in Maryland. Shazzers has helped in the past. I owe them $321 dollars on a $640 loan that I have already paid $1123 on. I also spoke with the Maryland Commission of Financial Regulation and they confirmed Mycashnow is illegal in Maryland. I emailed them a C&D letter, to Support[at]mycashnow.com but it came back undeliverable. Does anyone have a good email address for these slimeballs?

Does anyine have any experience with this company? How aggressive are they? My old Mervyns/GE money card was just "referred" to them. Thanks

My aunt ended up with her sister's house quit claimed to her, but has debts that she had sent in large payments to try and settle. She didn't have anything before and was wondering if the debt collectors can take her sister's house from her now?

I have been attempting at numerous places to recieve a personal loan for around 8000. My credit score is a 656, and after recieving an offer letter from Discover I figured I would apply to pay off my credit cards. I have not had success getting approved for a loan of any sort, does anyone know of a legitimate lender that I may have success with?

I have been wandering on this website for a bit to get as much info as possible, but to clarify a couple of things, here is a quick run down of what we have...we are about 55000 in CC debt and are just recently only making our necessary payments of mort, cars, ins, etc. The last payment to most of the CC's were in Sept. We have one that was last paid at the end of June and a couple in July. We have been ignoring all phone calls from the CC companies. I figure once we are 90 days or so out then I might call back with some settlement offers.

Sorry if you have answered this before for someone else but I am still a bit confused. I have several loans. One is with Platinum Cash. I do not think they are licensed in the state of Illinois which is where I live and got the loan. According to information and correct me if I am wrong, i only am required to pay the principal or must I include interest according to illinois law at 15.5% per $100. I borrowed $400 and have made two interest only payments of $120 each. Do I still owe $160 ($400-$240) or do i owe $222($400 + $62 interest -$240=$222) Thanks for any help you can give.

I currently have a Gold option unsecured line of credit with bank of america. I have a balance of 35000, and they keep dropping my available credit. I also have a credit card with them that is at its max of 7500. My wife lost her job and we have two kids, and with a 2200 dollar mortgage payment it has made it tough. I am currently on time with my payments, but between the two my payments are around 900 dollars. I cannot continue to do this. My question is, what is my next best step? Should I just stop making my payment and try and settle?

I live in Arkansas Texarkana , where payday loan companies are illegal.Does that mean that online payday lenders are prohibited from doing business with people in arkansas?

My Capitol One card was place with ARS a collection agency. ARS did validate they made me an offer of paying $423.00 on a $880.00 debt. They said Capitol One allowed them to. Who should I deal with if I want to make an offer? The Capitol One account is on my credit report as Bad Collection and I am trying desperately to clean my report up. They report the balance as past due. Also do you a sample memo for this subject?
