I have a Construction Co. with huge unsecured & secured debt & do to the bad economy Ihave done very poorly this last year it has become evident that I should file for bankruptcy I was at first considering chapter 7 & then chapter 13 I have secured an attourney for this but I am now considering selling 2 of my trucks not worth more than 15,000.00 total to help pay my tax liabilities for this year and keeping 1 construction eqt. still worth what I owe and letting the bank take back the other eqt not worth 1/2 what I owe and keep struggling to make it .

Here is the deal on THIS! I had a loan with Payday-Loan-Yes. Another illegal PDL and CSO in Texas. Stopped pay on ACH Transactions. they tried for 2 pay periods to send the interest fee through, but it was returned to them. The loan was for $350. This last pay day I had a electronic check go through my account for $725! Blasted my account! it was for the $350, three pay periods of the $105 fees and two $30 return fees. Here is the bigger kicker. The check was made out to First National!

Hi all! I have been following the dealing with illegal payday lenders to the 9's and today I get a very threatening email from Cash-N-Dash. It was an internet payday loan and internet loans are prohibited in my state (KY.) Here's what it says- "Wage Garnishment Pending You are hereby given 7 days from this notice in accordance with Section 7-5-1, Utah Code Annotated or appropriate civil legal action is being filed against you for the amount due and owning together with fees, court costs, ect...

Hello, I live in CA and I'm self employed. My work load has dropped dramatically in the past year. We used up all of your credit cards to survive and now they are maxed. I'm sitting at around 28k in debt. I do make a little bit of money for gas and food but not enough to pay the credit cards. I do not make enough money to even enter into a debt management or consolidation plan. I feel that there is nothing else to do but file chp7. But i do have some questions if ANYONE can help. 1) I have 2 cars that i have on loans.

I am in TX and have PD loans that I am in good standing with - but it's about to cost me all I have and a husband!! I want to pay them off and get them to quit taking money out via ACH... I want to set up a payment plan - but thought I'd see if anyone has had any experience with them and under TX laws.

I was wondering if there was anything I can do about fixing my credit score. I am currently in a debt settlement plan and have settled several of my accounts. However, there is nothing on my credit report that doesn't belong there and the accounts I have settled show as settled not payment in full. I still have an active gas credit card but was wondering what else I could do to improve me credit score. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Does anyone know if there are any companies out there similar to these two that handle both payday loans and credit cards?

Jeez, my daughter's credit report is worse than mine! I pulled it yesterday and she has several items for unpaid medical bills to hospital and one for dentist when she was married (husband had services). What is the SOL in NJ for medical bills? Also, there's notation for 2 phone companies, Verizon Wireless and Sprint Mobile:rolleyes:. What's the SOL on these? Starting to work on her credit but it looks like it will be a Herculean task!! At least she has more years to her life to clean it up. I am 62 and my time is limited for cleaning it up. Answers, anyone? thanks.

We did have a loan through 500FastCash. Through your forum I found out that they are not a legal PDL or CSO in the state of Texas. So I stopped payment on their ACH Transactions so that they could not charge me the interest fees. They then cut a paper check for $590 on my next pay day without my knowledge! :mad: The loan was $350, then for the two interest fees at $105 a piece and a $30 for the first interest fee payment they tried to take out being returned to them. If I am correct I do owe them the principle of the loan which is $350, but nothing on the interest of fees, correct?

I missed one payment on a credit card debt of $17,000 and the credit company wants to now raise my interest rate to 29%. I would like to conduct a DIY debt mngmnt plan, but the interest rate will make success very difficult to achieve. Any ideas on how to manage a decrease in interest without going to a debt management company? I haven't yet called the credit company to ask for a reprieve.
