My ex called me up the other day to say that they tried to serve me with a summons for an old debt that I had. He told them that I no longer lived at the address and had no other information. My question is, if they can not find me to serve me what does that do for their court case? What would happen if I never knew about the summons in the first place? Can they still get a judgment? Thank you in advance for any responses.

How legit are these payday loan consolidation companies? I feel like I've already been "taken" by the actual payday loan companies and I don't want to be in a worse situation than I'm already in. I have 2loan that have a combined total of just over 1,000..I can't pay any of my other bills b/c the finance charges on these loans are LITERALLY killing me...I need help! Please!

hello all, i need help with this situation as i have no idea what to do: as a person with low income I was with no health insurance in the state of hawaii. I had an emergency and had to go to the emergency room. I reported I had no insurance and the hospital staff sent an officer to have me sign papers applying for medical coverage as a person with no icome so i can receive care. I made sure he understood that I wanted to receive help only if I were to get that coverage and made sure I understood that I was covered and not about to get into major debt.

my name is jennifer I have 2 pay day loans one with arrowhead investments was $300 and I have paid $80 every 2 wks for the last year totaling about $2000 other with money chest $400 paid $120 so far.. I am in Florida and I need to get out of these loans asap. I have paid the first one like 10 times what it was orginally. Who can I call I cant cancel my account because too many bills come out automatically.

I had a loan with kingston financial that i had over paid on by about a hundred a while back, but in my stupidity a few months back i ended up taking out another for 200. what i'm wondering not just with this pdl, but with all can over payment from a previous loan be applied to one that is current. I live in ny and am looking to pay them back the 200, but if i can only pay back 120, i'd much rather do that.

I just sent an email to paychecktoday.com stating to revoke ach, etc and he wrote back saying they are an indian tribe and do not have to abide by ANY state regulations. Does anyone know if this is true?

So I'm signed up with Superior Debt Services with my 3 accounts, and they just contacted me about my Cap 1 account saying they wanted to settle at 86% (of the ~$5800 balance), which is considerably higher than the 40% average that they had advertised to me. Is this an acceptable settlement offer? SDS said that it's a lot higher because a "legal account". Any thoughts?

Hello! Is there a place to find out which debt settlement agencies are "legit" in there help? I feel alot of them are, but I just cant tell. I've been getting good numbers from a few different companies, but I dont want to fall victim of the "sounds to good to be true" story. Is there a site to check up on highly rated companies, or does anyone have any companies in mind that they had a good deal with??? Thanks!
