Ok...so I've been trying to modify my 1st mortgage and got a letter today that said I was denined so I called to find out why and they said we make too much money. I know that couldn't be right so I called and asked for a supervisor. She walked through my application and found the 2nd mortgage wasn't listed on my list of debts. So she looked at my credit report and my 2nd mortgage wasn't listed. I've also been trying to modify the 2nd, but can't get any info or a return call from GMAC.

Hi, I am thinking about doing a short sale on my rental property. I guess I will get 1099-C for it, but does anybody have an idea how much $ will appear on 1099-c? Is it whatever the amount that your bank is not able to collect from the sale? Also, Can I use insolvency form to avoid getting taxed?

**sigh** so I just got served a summons from a legal PDL. it said if I don't wish to dispute the validty of the suit, then I don't need to go to court and a default judgment will be entered. What should I do? Do I make payment to the PDL or what? I have half a mind to report them to the CFSA because they ARE members and didn't want to work with me on payment arrangements. With everything that's happened they've kind of been forgotten (to be honest) I can't pay it all at once but fully intend to pay it. How should I handle?

hello, so i have over $60,000 in four separate private student loans they just increased my monthly payments and are planning to do so again in a year. I can't find anyone to consolidate these loans because i don't have a degree yet (the school shut down the program during my last year!) and I can't just not pay it because my father is on as a co-signer. I've tried to get him off as a cosigner but i was late with two payments last year so they won't take him off and i can't file bancrupcy on student loans someone please help!

Ok... Firts off, I am in North Carolina. I posted an earlier post about being served a Civil Summoms to answer a complaint about a credit card debt I owe. The summons doesn't have a court date, they are just asking me to answer the complaint within 30 days. I defaulted on the card when the economy went bad and my hours were drastically cut. The SOL has not past so I can't use that defense. I do owe the money...at least some of it anyways but not sure they have the correct amount or that the CA is legally able to sue me for a debt they bought from the credit card company.

I am currently in the process of getting myself out of this, thank you to all of you for all your help. I have a question though, united cash loans is telling me that they don't accept payments via moneygram, western union or money order but only through debit card or checking account which i'm not giving them either, now i was speaking with someone in their "final collections dept" has any one had any luck sending payments other ways other than checking info or debit card.

Had a message left on my voice mail. I called them because I had not taken out a loan with them. They informed me that they took over loan for Biggest-Cash. I told them I sent letter 7/27 requesting mailing address so I could mail balance of $30.00. They want me to fax supporting information. and also stated that since they were collectors, they could call my work. Any suggestions??

has anyone gotten ant results from complaints filed on payday-loan-yes/first financial services. my bank account has been closed at the advise of the Oregon Division of Finance, but they still won't leave me alone. they are not located state side, and they are illegal and not licensed, they have no regard for the law.
