I lived in Ohio (loans are legal) I have 5 storefront loans and 2 internet loans, I will be filing for bankruptcy in a month or two (i have to get the money). I just need help and advice, I'm paying just in fees $500.00 every two weeks, paycheck is 09/18/09. I dont know what to do, so I default since I'm filing for bankruptcy and if so how do I go about closing my bank account ? I just truly don't have the energy to keep going through this, i keep drowing and drowing, i keep have to rely on getting a new loan to pay for the fees of my other outstanding loans... Please help what should I do ?

I have a credit card that I defaulted on when my hubby got laid off temporarily. Up until that time, I made on time and above minimum payments on it. The balance at the time I closed the accoutn was $425. HSBC of course sent me to collections (Academy...of course) and when I let them know 2 weeks ago amid one of their many phone calls that we were now filing bankruptcy, they got all pissy.

Has anyone had any luck contacting there Attorney General. I don't want a refund, just want them to back off. I have 3 illegals in Minnesota. Had an Officer Mitchell call my work and home. I sent 3 complaints to the Attorney Generals office. I know the law just changed so they might be up for at least getting them off my back. Has anyone else gotten help from the AG.

I live in North Carolina. I had a Credit Card that I defaulted on when my hours at work were severely cut due to the economy. I was served a civil summons by my local sherriffs department yesterday from an attorney 150 miles away who is representing a collections agency that is also 150 miles away. The debt is for about $6500 and I have no real means of being able to pay that at present. It is all I can do to keep up with the house payments until the economy picks up and my hours are increased back to normal. The civil summons is asking me to answer the complaint within 30 days.

Need advice, i have Eastern Asset Managment calling in regards to a Pay day loan they say i owe, from last year. They cannot provide me the name of the company, any account documentation, nor send me notrice in the mail, only fax or e-mail. I did have a few i had to default on, i paid all, atleats i thought. I do not feel good about this, i feel it's a bit shady. I was told that do not have any documernts because they are a law firm and not a collection agency, i was told that I could be charged wioth chack fraud, which i know is BS since no check was ever involved, just ACH transactions.

I've consulted with a company called Kirkland Green Anyone have any experience with them?

I just wanted to share that I just settled with both AmEx (NCO) and Chase last night for 35% of the original balance in each case. The accounts were barely 120 days past due. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask.

Star cash 300 - paid $270 Ashland - 300 - paid 360 SSM/OSL Marketing 300 paid 360 I know the drill and routine and know they are scammers. They called my work, and a couple of weeks ago my employer graciously changed by phone number and gave me a new one. Well they got to the front desk, and the nice "elderly" reception didnt give them my information. They repeated the same thing they said at home.

how much do you charge monthy for your services

After I close my account and checks are NSF, will any of these PDL places accept payment arrangements on the NSF? I am told by a financial counselor that most will. But I would feel better if someone who has been through this told me that. Can you help? I have 6 PDL's that will become NSF's on Friday, 9/18. I cannot keep paying those huge service charges/finance fees.
