Has anyone ever been in default with ace cash express? i went in default with them in august and the check was sent to corp/ office. I have paid a couple of time on the amount, as much as possible. They are telling me now if it is not paid by the end of sept. the would take me to court. Can they take me to court if I am truley trying to pay them? I live in AZ. Would the have to serve me papers at work or home? not real sure what the process is? Thanks for your help/

Five years ago my husband, daughter and myself moved in with my mother because of her failing health. My mother passed away in August. Three months prior to her death she had declared bankruptcy. The payment that goes to the trustee is approx. $1100.00 per month. I would like to keep the home but I know we can not afford the payment to the trustee and the current mortgage plus property taxes, etc. Is there anything that can be done?

I sent a DV to LHR approximtely 10 days ago. I received a response today. Letter states account has been sent to the Dispute Dept. As of today (9-9-09) they have not received information from me that supports my position. I have 30 days to respond or they will remove my dispute and continue collection. What should be done now? I have never seen this type of response. Thank you.

Hey all. I have an important SOL question. I've started several other threads, so if you want all the case info, you can find it here on the board. My question is to WHEN the SOL clock actually starts to toll. I live in Virginia, so the SOL for CC's is 3 years. I made my last payment on May 4, 2006. The JDB filed suit on May 19, 2009. By this, my understanding is that they did not file in time. However, they have submitted into evidence several statements, that show the OC billing me for Late Fee's, and Overlimit Fee's each month until January 2007.

How many times can a company send a collection notice stating I have 30 days to validate the debt? Commercial recovery systems has sent 3 since April to which I am asking validation for the 3rd time. They have yet been able to provide any validation. Can they keep doing this?

I have NEVER defaulted on a loan...or even been a day late...but of corse everything caught up to me finally. I've been only paying the interest on my loans and in Delaware where I'm from I can only rollover four times..well when one of them came up that I had to pay in full I had no choice but to default on one of my loans...I feel AWFUL...This isn't like me. I'm worried sick that they are going to call my family and friends..and even my workplace...how embrassing....I choose to pay all of my storefront ones and cashnetusa cause I know them to be legal.

does anyone have in site about US loans i accumulated while studyin in the states, i made attempts to pay what i could to sallie mae but they still turned it over to NES i am unable to meet the ridiculous amount the are demanding. Does anyone know what legal recourse they would have as i no longer live in the US and am a Canadian citizen?

Good Morning I need some help regarding 4 payday loans I have. I contacted my bank and they do not allow ACH transactions after an account is closed. The following is the list of loans I have and I reside in Illinois MyCashNow-Internet loan amount $600.00 Americash loans-Store Front Loan Amount $800.00 Summit Group-Internet Loan Amount-$200.00 All Credit Lenders Loan Amount-$400.00 I don't know how much I've paid towards these because they automatically debit my account and I it's been a while. Can I request that information from them or do I need to call my bank?
