:D I have been reading these posts for months now and finally had had enough of PDL company's. I have 6 PDL's and looked at ones that I had overpaid. I used a letter that I had seen on here before and changed the information related to my state and their laws on PDL's. I sent an e-mail to 3 of them and within 2 hours I received a Paid In Full e-mail from The Loan Shop stating that I am "no longer responsible for the debt owed". I received a second e-mail just a few minutes ago from SignMyLoan.net stating that my account is now "Paid in Full".

Can a debt collector charge 17% per day?

I gave a CA my information to make a payment over the phone, and he said he would send me proof of payment towards the debt, but as of day three he has not provided anything by email or fax. I am thinking of stopping the next payment (is that legal?). Are CAs obligated to provide proof of payment to debtors, showing the funds were used towards payment of the debt?

I received an email from Payday Loan Yes and they refuse to give me any address. In their email they state they do not accept mailed payments and do not offer an address for security reasons. I must fax a formal request for an address from a lawyer or third party debtor. Now what? I have done the following, email and faxed over my ACH revoke letter asking for address and what they show me owing. ( I live in New Jersey) Also I just received a called from Geneva Roth who I believe belongs to Loan Point USA who I have paid in full in all the fees.

one of my PDL's emailed me a confidential mutual release agreement that appears to read very legal, however, as I learned through this site the PDL is illegal I'm in Pa and so do I sign this? I overpaid this PDL even though they say I still have a $490 balance.

And give them your name and home address????? I have had the same phone number (which does not accept block calls) and address for 12 years so why couldn't they send a certified letter?? I am only two months late on my payment, this seems VERY excessive. Please tell me if this is allowed. My neighbor said he did not know me, but they gave him my address and told him to post a note on my door.

I have recently signed with a debt mgmt firm to negotiate settlements for 10 accounts I have, but one of the creditors has filed a suit against me. The negotiator is telling me they handle this sort of thing all the time and I should not worry about it, that it should not go to the point of becomming a judgement. Anyone have stories to share about what happened to them in a similar situation? Anyone who did actually end up having a judgement entered against them despite the negotiators attempts?

My fiance thought he was helping me when he took all my letters to the post office. I had some validation letters ready to go to some places and he just put a stamp on them and sent them. Should I do them all over again and send them out CRRR? Thanks.

Can anyone send me or tell me where I can get a copy of the law governing NYS PDLS? I want to add it to my C&D Letter. Also can anyone share any information on the following companies (email or address) These are all internet Payday Loans. From what I can gather they are all illegal??
