I received a court summons from Works and Lentz in Oklahoma for monies owed to a hospital. In July I spoke with someone from works and lentz and made payment arrangements with them for 30.00 a month. I told them that I would be able to pay 15.00 out of each of my husbands checks and they said that was fine. I started payments this month and have now received the petition for indebtedness from them. How do I write the letter and who do I address it to. What information do I need to put in this letter? how much do you have to owe before u can settle?

I have a loan with payday avenue of 200, long story short, i have two bank accounts and one got hacked into, leaving me in a big negative balance, the bank has been working on compensating the charges, but claim they couldnt figure out the rest and they other companies should pay overdrafts fee, well in the mist of all this payday avenue didnt get paid, can they take you to court? total now is 328.91. i contact my payroll dept to revoke wage assignment and they said they would if it wasnt court ordered. i live in OHIO

OK...After struggling for months, National City finally put a hard debit block on my account. ONLY because I had fraudulant charges. No joke, all of these electronic checks went through my account, in small amounts...30 dollars, 40, 60, 80 and so on. They were from non-existant places with generic websites. I had talked to someone at one of the numbers and they said that I had authorized this charge (freedom protection?) when I applied for a payday loan. No..umm I did not.

Hello all - I've been following this site and wading through the tons of info, but I thought maybe I'd start my own thread so that I could make sure I know where I stand with things. I've been in the payday loan trap for months now. I filed Chapter 7 a few months ago, but I was so tapped out I had to continue to take out more loans.

I recently found a website called Debtgoal.com which is supposed to help you manage your debt payoffs - gives advice on the fastest way to pay, etc. I started entering my info, entered my first cc and saw that it asks for the password for when you log onto your cc website. I quit, was not comfortable with this. Has anyone done Debtgoal.com? Is it legit, safe, helpful?

I found a lot of useful information on this sight about how to deal with illegal internet pdl lenders. I am currently dealing with Magnum Cash Advance, Star Cash Processing and Paycheck Today. I closed my bank account, sent them letters letting them know that they are illegal in my state, and that I have overpaid on my account, etc. My question is, will I get better results if go thru one of those PDL Companies?

What's the minimum amount of debt you require a person to have for them to sign up for your program?

I had filed bk13 back in 2005 but ended up settling all my unsecured debt my self and paying it off outside of the bankruptcy. I let my bk get dismissed and the only debt I have now is my auto loan. For some reason the creditor, Capital One to this day is showing it as still under bankruptcy and listing it at 15k for the debt for a 2001 vehicle. The fair market price for the car is 7k. I want to settle the debt for that amount. I'm scared they will repo the car which will ruin my credit score.
