Could anyone please give me any information on their experiences with "A New Beginning Financial" (not to be confused with "New Beginnings)? I've been reading about "New Beginnings" from Jupiter, Florida, and heard mixed reviews about that debt settlement company; most of which were negative. "A New Beginning Financial" is a Christian-based organization and is a member of TASC (The Association of Settlement Companies). Their link is anewbf.com. I recently lost my job and I'm concerned that I won't be able to pay my credit card bills which total to over $30K.

There was no initial letter or phone call from the bill collector. Just an immediate court summons that was served to me. This is for several debts totaling around $450. from 2007 to last year. They are also asking for reasonable attorney fees. Some of the figures may be correct but I'm not sure.

What Does Chapter 13 payments include? I am current on my mortgage and cars. Just behind on CC's that I can't Pay anymore. If I file ch 13 Do I still make my house and car Payment myself or does the trustee. I can't do Ch 7 till dec 2010

hello, I'm just starting the journey, Out income has dropped and cannot pay the cards,we owe about 20,000 in cc's I filed chapter 7 in 02 and can't refile till dec 2010. I can;t believe i'm back in this trap again. I am going to try to settle, I will be getting about $7,000 in feb 2010 which will put me at the 150 day deliq. I should have a total of about 9-10thou for negotiating at that time If I can't get the cc's to settle in the spring, should I go ch.13 or try to hold out for ch. 7 again. I would pass the means test I jist have to wait a while. any advice will be helpful

I've been paying on one loan, $500, from The Money Store since July 1st. I live in Alabama but I just want to know what to specifically to do get this behind me. I was trying to help my son who is out of work but now I'm only able to roll over the loan every 2 weeks because I don't have any other funds after I pay the $87.50 fee. I have done this 3 times and am looking at having to do it another time on the 1st of Aug. I'm not going to be able too do this because I only have about $100.00 to live on till the next payday. Please explain the 4 time rollover limit.

CitiBank has sued my mother for $2000 of debt. She had cancer last year and is still paying off for the chemo and radiation. Should she contact CitiBank's attorney and tell them the circumstances or wait till she has to go to court? And, becuase of chemo and radiation should had to quit her job and now receives a Social Security check every month. Also, we live in Florida. Should she contact firm representing Citi before court? Please help! My current address is in Idaho but I have a Online PDL that originated from Nebr. when I was there this summer. Is this governed by Idaho or Nebraska?

I will preface this by saying I haven't been completely smart with my credit and my history proves it. When I divorced in 2004 I was forced to file Chapter 7. It was discharged in May of 2004. In 2006 I was out of work for a period of time and lived off my credit cards racking up huge amounts. The attorney I hired had me file a Chapter 13 and that was filed in January 2008. When I got to my confirmation hearing in March of 2008 just before we left the Trustee stated to my attorney, "Your client understands she wont get a discharge". I wasn't sure what that means.

Is it possible for me to ask the DC suing me for discovery in MEDIATION and for the mediation to be continued if they do not have it with them on the date we meet? Or, is me asking for discovery going to throw it into court? Thanks for the reply!
