Mann Bracken refuses to give me an statement showing receipt of my monthly payments. I believe my balance should be lower than the last correspondence they sent. Previously my account was with Eskanos & Adler, they merged with Mann Bracken. They sent a monthly letter showing my new balance so I always knew they received my payment. Mann Bracken does not do this. How can I force Mann Bracken to give me a statement showing my payment since 7/31/2008?

I am under AWG (administrative Wage garnishment) for default student loans. Originally when the order was given to my employer they said that 25% of my disposable income would be withheld. After several inquiries to the Department of Education they informed me that 15% was the maximum. The Payroll company admits to misinterpreting the order. After 16 months i was over garnished $5134.00. Do I have any recourse?

A letter from a creditor states i have 30 days to respond to them to dispute the debt. If that 30 days has lapsed, do i still have the right to send a debt validation letter or does my lack of contacting them within that time automatically validate the debt (legally). The letter said something like the debt is considered valid... For reasons unspecified I have not responded with a letter in the 30 day time they have allowed.

i have been recieving calls from a company called MCC. They claim the debt is for my husband. That the company who origionally had the debt was sears. and its totallying 3k but is from 1995! i told the guy that i have no idea what he is talking about that the debt was paid off over 10 years ago and that i want valid proof we owe that debt. he asked me to give him documentation that i had showing we had the debt! i told him (laughing at him infact) that it was over 10 years ago and i dont have anything like that. he wants us to settle with the company now. Not sure what to do with this.

Can someone help me with this topic. I am looking to calculate a wage garnishment assesment (for myself) to prepare and I want to know how I would calculate it. I make roughly 1500 dollars every two weeks and take home about 1050. my state is 10 percent gross or 25 percent disposable, but i'm not sure how to calculate disposable.

How can I remain logged into this site? After I sign in with my email address and password I tick the box that states to remain signed in. However, if I leave this site or remain idle for a matter of minutes it automatically signs me out. This causes me to lose all of the "posts since last visit" to the right of this board, and starts all over again from the moment I re-login, which makes it difficult to locate posts that were made just minutes before my re-login. Any solutions?

I was wondering. if you are sued for a debt and you lose. What do they consider assets and how do they prove you own something. All I really OWN is an old laptop and a few random things around the house. Everything else is my girlfriends. I am still paying off a car but i owe more than it's worth. i know about bank accts and wage garnishment, but can they just barge into your house and start taking stuff without knowing who's it is or proof that you own it?

Just curious, i've seen people on here get their bank accts garnished without any notification of judgement. If I know for a fact the CA has the proper address, do they have to notify me or the court notify me of an impending judgement/case/garnishment? I was curious about that. It is for a private loan, not federal at all. Seems that people have it happen without being notified of even a judgement

Hi: I live in Maryland and had been set up on payment arrangement with Comptroller of Treasury (State Tax) from 2007. They told me that they would work with me and now it has been turned over to NCO. Does anyone know about this company and why they would turn it over to them? Thanks
