Can anyone tell me about Gulf Coast Readers, Inc. and Readers Club Home Office. They claim they are a prepaid service for Magazines. I am trying to get out of paying these people up to 800.00 each for magazine subscriptions. They said I was past the 10 day cancellation date and they cannot cancel my subscription. Can anyone help me?

Asset Acceptance LLC is currently ( since April 12 2013) garnishing my husband's pay check without us knowing: 1) What this debt is- they said Citibank credit card , I said it may be fraud -which is true. Asset said they have no part in whether it's fraud or not they won judgement. 2) We were NEVER served with papers to appear in court as Asset didn't have a recent address on us for 2 years.

Ok, so, it took a week and a half to get their reply. I have taken 3 loans totalling 2600 and I have repaid 2950. They want 1200 more. I don't think so. I had revoked ACH and wage assignment, told them that I wasn't paying anymore and wanted a refund.here's the email. ( i rejected the offer and again stated that I will pay nothing more.) Thank you very much for the advice on this forum. I am currently about to take the first step in stopping the pdl from hitting my account. I know I need to coordinate closing the account and sending letters to the companies. OhioGal mentions just emailing them. Is it best to send both an email and certified letter or is the certified letter a complete waste of time? What are people's experiences recovering overpaid loans with just emails?

I owe the department of education for student loans and now the government is collecting monthly for the debt. Do I have any way to pay off the loans faster?

I just today received by UPS an envelope with a letter from Golden Valley Lending, I had a payday loan with them and wrote them and stated the overpayment. They emailed first and said because my account was in such good standing they would close it pdf. and return the extra money i paid well I received my check today for 226.25. Should I cash this?

There was a message on my answering machine from 866-611-360 saying that they needed to know the where abouts of my ex room mate because they are going to file charges and she would go to court. I think this is a collection agency. How can they file charges?
