i have a least 4000.00 in credit card debt which i can not pay. right i am unemployed until august 31, but will not a get a paycheck for at least 3 weeks. Also my hourly wage has been cut by 1.5%. i will not be able to pay much then.

I'M late on all my credit cards i want to file bk the calls are all the time from 9 to 9 everyday i have no other option . my question i have hired an attorney he won't file until i can pay him in full it will take 2 months to pay him . can the crediters ,and will they do anything else while i wait to file bk.

Like many people here, got over my head and into PDL hell. Below are a list of the PDLs I took and what I've paid into them so far ALL ARE INTERNET loans. Ace Cash Express borrowed 400 paid 240 Cashnet Borrowed 200 paid 100 National payday Loan Borrowed 400 paid 180 One Click Cash Borrowed 300 paid 180 United Cash Loans Borrowd 300 paid 180. Thre were due friday and the phone calls started Saturday. Please advise on what my next steps should be. Thank you

Since January I have been sending certified mail return receipts letter to two collection agencies reporting on my files; they both ignore me. the first reports for 158$ for I have no idea what. the second one reports for a $18 debt to Bank of America. It was for a closed account fee I was not aware of until I moved back to the US last year and I paid it off immediately. I have the receipt, and have mailed them a copy of that as well. For 8 months both these CAs ignore me so today I sent them each a Notice of intent to sue. I just don't know where to start the suit.

I spoke with a collection agent over an old bill to verizon which we agreed to a reduced amount of $136.00. i gave her my credit card #, and she stated "lets get this taken care of and you won't hear from me again". A few days later I recieved a bill showing my payment with an amount owing stating, "This is to confirm our phone conversation and we will expect you to keep our agreement". Your next payment is due on......This is fraud and extortion as far as I'm concerned. how can they make an agreement with you by phone and then act as though it was only for a partial payment.

Hi, In May 2009 I had a verbal agreement with Creditors Exchange that I'd pay 50% of my debt with 'Bill Me Later' in 3 installments of $335.27 every month, i.e. May, June and July 2009.

I have currently 13 outstanding PDL's. I'm trying to decide if I should take them on myself or hire help to do so.

I have been charged by PDL loan center and have no loan with them. They took $90 out of my account and I cannot find a contact for them.

Hello -I need some advice. I received a summons on June 16, and I filed July 1 at the clerk's office with my answer. It was stamped and put in the file. Just this past week on the 23rd of July, I received a notice from the attorney for the plaintiff (credit card,) on a motion to move for default judgement stating I did not respond to the complaint and follow it? I am confused. I thought default happened IF you did not follow through and answer? I went over the summons from the clerk, and I answered it within the timeframe, etc. What should I do?
