My husband, who works out of state, has been named in a lawsuit by Cap One. Since it's a 10 hour drive from work to home, I'm doing most of the paperwork for him. First, does an answer have to be notarized? Second, can I drop all of this off for him at the courthouse provided he's signed all of the documents (he has a notarized graduated denial), or does he have to do it in person? I anticipate having to also file demand for admissions, maybe interrogatories/motion for discovery. Must all of these be notarized?

They are pdls that I took out 2 years ago and I paid them,then they kept overcharging my bank account and i closed my bank account.Now the pdl companies have sent my info to collection agencies and as far as I know ive paid them their money,now they want to say that i still owe them.Im afraid they have added delinquency fees and late charges and other fees to these old pdls.how do i deal with them?

Has anybody gotten an update address or website/ email I sent my letter to them but was returned. BBB also forwarded my complaint and same thing returned undeliverable.

its been almost 2 years now that ive tried to get away from pdl companies and Ive closed my bank accounts and send them letters and complained to the BBB in MA.Now they have found my new phone number and kept calling me harrassing me saying that im in fraud.How do I deal with them?The number they keep calling me is 202 684 7140.I went online and saw that this was done to a lot of other people too,some lost cases and had to pay delinquency fees up to $1500.I don't have that kind of money to pay them.What do I do?Please help me.I want to totally get out of this.

My brother in law's currently residing in Dubai (he's Indian), and he has credit card debt problem. He really wants to payoff the cards, but can't afford it. He ends up paying minimum payment every month. He has tried to contact the issuer bank to consolidate the debt, but it seems they don't want to help :( Gees, he doesn't want to run and he's been a loyal customer... Anybody here can give me a clue? Me and my sister are now trying to help him out of his problem. Please, any idea...

OK...We are down to paying off our final payday loan. Getting out of the cycle...however, Payday-loan-yes, also known as ABC payday loan AND also known as fastcash advance (which is what the debits on my account go through as)...anyway, they took the payment out of my account 3 days early. When I called them, they said that though my payday falls on the 5th, they are closed tomorrow and the 5th is a holiday, so they took it out early. They said I should have called them earlier and they could have put the payment through on the 6th (which is my actual payday since the 5th is on a Sunday).

Hi Ev1, Was wondering if a creditor or CA can put a freeze on your account w/out letting you know anything. Has not happened to me, but wondering if they can. I live in Massachusettes and my name is on my mothers account and dont want anything to happen w/hers. Im on it just to be able to do her banking for her since she is 76yrs old Thanks for all your help

I was wondering.....If a person is paying, or has made an effort to pay a collection agency, and they refuse the payment and sue, is this legal? What is a person right if they are trying to pay the debt?

I have been paying Zwicker & Associates $50 a month for my Capital One account that has an outstanding balance of $2040. I have contacted them to request a letter stating that I am paying $50 monthly. I need the letter for a parent plus loan. They will not give it to me and said that I need to pay more each month. They said my payment plan was subject to review but they never contacted me about this. $50 is all I can afford but they are saying I need to pay more.
