Things have been a little busy here for me and thats why I haven't been here much in the last 2 weeks :oops: Work has picked up for us and my daughter moved into her own apartment last weekend. So we have been busy with that. I am hoping that things will slow down for me starting next week. I am leaving for the cabin thursday night :D It is a very needed vacation for me. Now that my daughter is all settled in her new place. But the cats have now taken over her room here lol. They are having a ball with their toys in the empty room. I think they like the echo it makes in there.

I sent a certified letter to Beneficial the other day asking for alternative payment arrangements. I'm currently on a DMP but the payment is still too high. I told them in the letter that I want to pay creditors who can work with me otherwise I might be forced to file some sort of bankruptcy. Is beneficial easy to work with or will it be tough to get them to settle the debt for half and have me give them a certain payment every month?? My original loan was for $7100

I need some advice on dealing with Mann Bracken LLP. They recently sent some paperwork in the mail stating an intention to pursue a civil claim against me for a Discover Card claiming a debt ($13,000). I don't recall anyone extending me that much credit. I'm in Virginia and they sent a "Warrant in Debt (Civil Claim for Money)" and left another copy that my wife found in the door. I looked up my name on the General District Court website for Virginia and there is a case number with my name.

This is a bit of a long story, but I'm going to try and squash it down into something manageable. When I was still a teen, I signed up for a student checking account with my grandmother. It was a huge mistake. Currently, she is accusing me of fraud because her boyfriend signed what they had assumed was a loan for the school year, but what was really a loan for my study abroad in the summer. The study abroad was still for school and offered me a good amount of credits, but this is beside the point.

I Live in Tennessee and have 5 payday loans & 3 credit cards. The PDL's were drafting my bank account for my entire paycheck when it hit the bank. My husband and I have seperated and he closed that account. One place took $295.00. arched 4 times. This is the craziest thing...now I am in such a financial mess I will never get out any suggestions.

First Source Advantage has been calling me repeatedly for a month, asking for my birthdate. I never give it to them, because apparently they're trying to stick an unpaid American Express bill on me when it actually belongs to someone with a similar name. I've never had an Amex account, and confirmed with Amex directly that no one has opened an account in my name. First Source Advantage keeps calling, despite my repeatedly telling them that it's not my bill. They say they need my birthdate to confirm that it's not me, and that my birthdate is not personal information. Sounds fishy to me.

how many days late can u be before they reposses? i am 39 days late for the first time in 4 yrs, and they are theating me can they do that?

I sent Citifinancial a certified letter asking for an alternate payment arrangement. I done this without realizing I had sent in a payment the previous day for more than I really can afford. SHould I stop payment on that check until I get something back in writing from Citifinancial about what they are willing to agree to?
