500fastcash responded to bbb saying my complaint isnt valid because the letter they recieved is a misleading letter found on the internets. wth? now what? also about the pif i got from integrity advance. again they have not contacted me and this is a legal debt owed that i have not and can not pay back right now. its been over a week ow so if it was an automated response to their attempt at debiting my account, wouldnt i have heard back from them by now. im not calling them of course and i dont answer blocked numbers. now what do i do about these two companies?

Has anyone gotten letters from this National Debt Services Inc.? They keep referring to a Stimulus Act of 2008. I would love to hear what they have to say but don't want to waist my time if they are not legit.

Hello, I have been offered a settlement with an original creditor, the letter states that they will report the card as Charged off/Settled in full. I was under the impression that the card wasn't charged off yet. Is this the best credit mark, or should I try to get settled for less than full amount? Please Help, i have to pay them by tomorrow!

I just recieved a letter from The Northland Group stating that I owed an old 1998 Capital One Credit card debt of more than $8,000.00! I have never owed Capital One any such amount! This is the first I am hearing of this and it has never been on my credit report. I am terrified that they can try to put this on my credit report. They want to settle with me for $1,600.00. The SOL for Louisiana is 3 years...what to do?

I'm trying to locate them to pay them off but there's no contact info.

I had a judgement and was paid in full but is showing on my credit report as status unknown, how can I fix this problem or where do I have to go to fix it?

Hello, (I've been researching, but am still rather new to this.) I recieved a collections letter a not too long ago, from a place called Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC stating: "You're account was acquired by (DRS) through a purchase of various deliquent recieveables from (Original Creditor), Etc.", and the standard list of reply "options". It appears they are trying to collect on an old $252.00 land-line type acct. from around Aug., of 2001. - I am in N.Y., the Acct. was in N.Y, This CA is in NY. History: - Called + cancelled acct. approx. Oct. 2001.

I began receiving calls from an office claiming to be an "investigator" last month. They claim to be representing someone who owns a debt origninating from First USA. The First USA account was closed in 2006 and the last communication I have from them stated a debt of $154, the office calling me claims this debt is now over $5000 (interest & attorney's fees). They have told me they are not required to validate the debt because they are not a collection agency, they are an investigator (this did not stop them from offering to let me pay the debt in full over the phone....
