I talked to an attorney today. He told me it would be about $950 for attorney fees and then the filing fees. Hopefully I can get a waiver for the filing fees and that will cut the cost down. I told him I am dealing with one in court now and I have denied the debt. He said it is not a problem and they will just mark it as disputed. The debt collector suing me are a bunch of idiots and the lawyer they use is the same. The attorney told me not to worry about them in court if I can't file in time.

So i recently just had funds taken out of my checking account without my knowledge! I ordered a work from home data entry kit because i'm a stay at home mom and wanted to be able to earn some money while at home. Well after i ordered they had my checking information so they then took 3 seperate amounts from 3 different "companies" and I've looked them up and its a fraud. Everyone who has dealt with them says that when you ask for a refund they tell you 7 to 10 days but it never happens!

Have you settled with these companies? What did you settle for and how long did it take?

Brand new member has posted advertising for payday loans..and I cannot edit or delete in that forum. Can someone take care of it?

on my bank statement there is a debit that only shows ssk -llc collections for the amount of 120.00 As I have multiple payday loans, i dont even know who this is. Bank says thats all they can see right now also. Help? How can I find this out?

Hello, I have a question. I haven't been awarded or summoned to go to court, however, I have received a Scheduling notice from the NAF. Can I still settle my debt before they award it to me? Thanks

I need some advice. I had a CA call to tell me that they were collecting a debt a had with Citi back in 2002. They tried to tell me that Citi was trying to collect, but when pressed, they admited they were a collection agency. They offered a settlement. I am very leery of this because I had a terrible experience in the past. I was offered a settlement which I paid, and then the company kept telling me that they needed more money. I sent them more money, and then they tried again.
