What is the best way for me to get out of debt. I dont owe much, but I owe multiple areas. I owe a few cell phones and utilities that have been sent out to collection agencies, a few school loans and like 2 credit cards. A total of right about 7500 in debt, but since my debt is all bad I cannot get a loan to consolidate. Is there anyone who has been in this situation, or anyone that can provide some help for me? I have now recieved over 110 spams, all of the same subject from a link that comes back to your company. I have asked to be removed and insulted by one of your staff. If I recieve one more email, I was be reporting your organisation and you will be fined and blacklisted

I have 80,00 in credit card debt. Has anyone had success with DIY debt settlement with Bank of America, Chase, Capital One, US Bank, Juniper Biz?

I sent Portfolio Recovery Associates a certified letter requesting Validation of debt. Can anyone please tell me how to handle this. The SOL was up 4/11/09. This is what I received: Dear *** Re: Verification Information Concerning PRA acc. 123456789 MBNA America Bank 987654321 The following information is being provided in response to your communication concerning account reference above. Account number 123456789 and its proceeds were sold, assigned and transferred by the Seller to Portfolio Rec. on 11/14/2006.

I got a letter from RA Rogers to collect my debt for a loan with a credit union which is charged off. The charge off amount was $9250 but the letter states that I owe $12610. Why is it a different amount? I havent sent them a DV letter yet. Is this a genuine co.? Any experiences with this co. for settlement? I posted this in Collection Agencies forum too but I did not get any replies so I thought may be I am in a wrong place. Thanks

I have on my credit report an entry on Equifax with this info: Creditor Name: Account No.: 6484*** Original Creditor: Responsibility: Individual Condition: Derogatory Original Balance: $189 Balance: $189 Date Opened: 07/2007 It has no creditor name or original creditor.. Who do I contact to try and figure out what this is for…. Also the last three digits of the account are missing…. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

a credit card co called me and said they can seize my bank account. i only live on social security income.are they allowed to do this and the last time i made a payment was 4 years ago i live in ill. they said they tried to serve papers on me 3 years ago.

Okay, it's started, as I knew it would. My hubby and I owe tons on several credit cards and now, with the new law congress has passed -- the CC companies are really going to stick it to us. We have always paid on time and we were slowly (very slowly) chipping away at our debt. Got the first, likely of many, bad suprises in the mail yesterday. Chase is raising our min payment to .05% instead of .02% as it has been. Thus my min monthly payment on only one of my cards is raising from $130 per month to $325 per month.

I wrote a debt validation to my collection (Portfolio Recovery Associates) and they replied with "An Affidavit of Sale" Where do I go from here I have attach a letter that I sent and the letter they have sent back it seems as if they did not reply to my request. And the interesting thing is that the first letter they sent me it stated that I owe $5,277.92 and their Validation letter response stated that I owe $6,638.47. I live in California Any suggestions? I have until July 1st to reply :( Thanks in advance
