My husband and I got into payday loans when our infant son died. We have life insurance but they won't cover a child that passes under 14 days of age. We needed to pay for his funeral and then it just took on a life of its own.
I tried to post this before but it didn't seem to be working so I apoligize for the double post.
I just viewed my credit report and my scores are Experian-529, Equifax-525, TU-529..I have about 7 accts on this 4 of which total to be around $700 so I would be able to pay those all in one payment because they are each a little under $200.
I am trying to repair my credit but not sure how to approach the collection agencies. I was very ill a few years ago. I filed a banckruptcy and then got sick a year later. I just want to clean all this mess and have my credit cleaned up so i can move on with my life. Its like a monkey on my back that just wont go away. How do i persuade these guys to delete my debts off my credit report.
I am filing for bankruptcy tomorrow and everything seems to be straightforward, but being the worry-wart that I am, I have been wracking my brain to see if there's anything that can delay or hurt my bankruptcy.
Last year, I received a PDL from mycashnow.com for $500. But soon after receiving the loan, I decided that I was going to try a debt resolution plan. The debt resolution company advised me to close my checking account.
I recieved a call today from someone with a very strong indian accent claiming to be in Cali. He said he is an attorney representing some Federal Banking co. a parent company of a lender that I got an online loan from. He would not tell me the name of the company, saying they have so many companies beneath them. But said if i didn't come up with $900 in 2 hours I would be going to court, and have a lawsuit filed against my social security number. They also said they would be sending all the legal paperwork to my job.
These clowns started harrassing me recently about a 12 year old credit card debt. The guy that called me was a fast talker, very rude and pushy. I told him that I would not discuss anything on the phone with him and if he wouldl like to send me something in the mail that I would be glad to give it to my attorney and we would go from there. He asked very rudely if asend me something in the mail, yadda yadda yadda. Which just pissed him off even more.
