Help! I'm the employer & we got a wage assignment from this company for one of our people. Is this legal in PA? What is my next step? Thanks!

There were two IC Payments deducted from my checking account. I don't know why this happened or what it was for. One amount was $100 and the other was 200.00 It was listed like this: June 10, 2009 CHASE ICPAYMENT 034501 00422276549201 Doe Jane 47244091289 $100.00 (I changed the account number for my example)

I recieved a summons in the mail stating that I am being sued. I have no idea what this is for. The letter doesn't state the original creditor. I know I have to responded within the alotted time frame. I just don't know what to say. Can someone please help me with a response? I am going to send a DV letter with the response.

I reside in Washington state. I had a payday loan that was paid in full 6 weeks ago to Advance America. This past weekend they resubmitted the same check via ach with the same check number for the full amount of $750.00 and my bank...Chase processed it. I called their district office and was first told that the check bounced six weeks ago then the next day that they submitted it to collect a $25 nsf fee. The district manager I spoke with said it was "company policy" and they would refund the $725 in 7 to 10 days once they were sure it had cleared.

Has anyone ever heard of credit cleaning? We filed bankruptcy and want to get a new vehicle within the next year. We were given this phone number for a lawyer who does credit cleaning, and he said he would charge my husband and I $700 to do it.

Hi everyone , new to this forum. I have a question regarding this debt i have from a law firm. I recently got divorced after a one year old marriage and it took as much (one year) to get my final judgment. Anyway. I have filed for bankruptcy and has been discharged and also I lost my condo to foreclosure. I lost my small store due to this bad economy and the expenses that occured for attorney fees and all the other stuff.

My husband & I filed Chapter 13 in Aug 2007. In Nov 2007 we receive a call from a creditor that was missed in the re-payment plan. I told the creditor that we filed Chapter 13 and he hung up on me. We received statements each month from the creditor and I sent a couple back with our case # and attorneys name. Today we recevied a letter from the creditors attorney stating they were going to garnish our wages. We already are paying back $800 a month to the Chapter 13. Can they do this?? We live in Ohio.

I am trying to buy a house and have stumbled on my credit score which isn't what I need it to be. I need 18 points to get it there. I don't have a long credit history, which I can't really fix because I am young. I have a couple of credit cards which have small about $10000 in limits total with only $130 balance currently. I recently paid $1300, like two days ago. I have one recent missed payment, when we got robbed I forgot to switch the automatic bill pay over. Other than that I just don't have a lot of credit. Is there a way to get 18 point some what quickly?

I am facing wage garnishment for non payment of student loans. I took out federal loans around 1990-1995, earned an AA degree from local community college. Attended a couple of semesters at state university then quit. Over the years I have been hounded by every CA under the sun. Here is my dilema...They say I owe over 100K, just under 60K is principal. I was young and not responsible and moved around alot back then. I don't have any paperwork whatsoever except a few CA letters from the last year or two.
