does any one know a company or site that can with pay day loans on site and internet?

I was informed that a judgement in favor of creditor Malen and associates was "disposed" against me. I NEVER recieved a supoena or was served any type of papers by this company. I was never informed of a court date or anything. Now I am being told that I must pay over $3000 for something, and I don't even know what this debt is for! Is there any way to deal with this? I really cannot afford to have my wages garnished or my checking account seized. Please advise.

Hello Everyone, Just started reviewing this site. I have found some incredible information and advise but I am looking for specifics regarding Summit Group LLC. My husband took out a PDL with Norstar and Summit Group back in April each for $300.00 and a finance charge for $ 90.00. Since then we have paid that amount to both but they have "rolled-over" the loans. I emailed Norstar as it is illegal for them to loan to California Residents and all we legally owed was the princle balance which we paid. I have looked at forums on Summit Group and it seems they are emely nasty to deal with.

On 6/10/09 Joseph called my home looking for either me or my husband. My babysitter told him that we were not home that she could take a message. He then told her that she "probably knows what this is about" and then asked if she knew how to get a hold of us. She explained that she had our cell phone numbers for emergency only. He then asked her for the numbers and our place of employment. She stated she wasn't comfortable giving out that information and he told her that "it's okay, I won't tell them I got it from you.

Can a junk debt buyer legally file a 1099c on debt that they have bought? If so, can they file for the full amount of the debt even though they bought it for pennies on the dollar or less?

Just wondering here... filing CH 7 on 6/30 -- am getting bombared by lenders wanting their payments. So far I have just been ignoring the calls, but it's driving me crazy -- my cell phone rings non-stop, but it's my only phone so I can't exactly turn it off. Anyway - should I answer and tell them I am planning to file or just keep letting it ring. I have everything ready & have talked w/ my attorney.

If an account is paid off, should there be nothing or 0 in the payment block on your credit report? Does it hurt your credit score if the payment is still being reported,does it matter?

Hi, I recently received a letter from the New York City sheriff, this letter stated that my wages were about to be garnished in about 20 days. I used to live with my parents up until March, I moved from NY to NJ and I never received any other letters warning me of anything. The letter is about a week old so that means that the sheriff is going to start garnishing my wages at the end of this month. I was told by a friend that I can get the judgement vacated due to improper service, how likely is this in my case and what happens when the judgement gets vacated?
