Short version>>> It was the worst time of my life in 2006. I was ready to pay the collection accounts. Phone ringing 10x day. The collectors would not take my payment plan. Little did I know back then what I know NOW. In 2006, I stopped 6 collection agencies and eliminated $11k in about 2 months. At first, I did not think it would work. I am so thrilled to this day that my hard earned money did not go to any bottomfeeder. Oh and I had a major income loss in 2002. So the unexpected circumstance changed everything. And now my score is almost back to 700 this year.

Have a 9,500 balance with Barclay's just about 90 days late and they are calling a bunch but I can't get them to discuss settlement. Hoping to get them into the 33% range. Anyone have recent experience with Barclay's? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm a 21 year old single parent. During my pregnancy I was high risk so I was not able to work. The only support I had was from my parents so for one reason or another I just got alot of credit cards to make ends meet. Before my pregnancy my score was 621 I only had 3 cards. By the end I had 10. My total debt now is $5900. My monthly income is 1600.00 my rent is $650 Phone $124 Utilities and a student loan payment equal about $160 at the most give or take.

Hi everyone. I have a $24,200 Chase card I am looking to settle. It will be past due next week. What is the time frame that Chase usually settles within? Also, what does Chase usually offer to settle for?

Havent been on the board in awhile and now that I am trying to clear up some bad history on my credit report I am becomming more and more frustrated, let me start by letting you know, that I have 5 late payment showing on my credit report and 2 of them reported are incorrect, 2 months ago I disputed online with TU "Never Late" it came back verified, upon discussing this situatin with my creditor they noticed that there were 2 late payment that were incorrect and so this time since creditor said it would take a couple months to fix I decided to write transunion sending it certified (Green Card)

I have been receiving phone calls from this guy at the above referenced number, first at home and for the last two days at work. Not sure how he obtained my work #. He is nasty with a thick foreign accent. He states the following, says my name that this message is intended for me and that the very second that I receive this phone call I am to contact him or have my attorney of record call him. Do not ignore this call…return it immediately and he says my first name. Then he proceeds to tell me that if I don’t call he can only wish me good luck as the situation unfolds on top of me.

I'm handling my account Pro Se...can't afford an atty...need help from anyone with legal knowledge. Being sued by LVNV, responded to complaint in a timely matter, they sent me interrogatories and Prod of docs, I denied everything and then I sent them my own interr and POD's. They objected to everything I asked for, they produced NO evidence. I read my court civil procedures, said that I have to make a good faith attempt before filing a motion to compel.
