What lettersw do you sent to the origninal creditor to get them to validated the debt?

General Question: If you open an account - say in Florida - have the account for a few years - then default, and move to another state (Illinois, for example)...which state does the SOL pertain to? Is it the state that you CURRENTLY reside in or the state where the account was opened?

Hi Everyone, I have a Chase credit card with a $24,200 balance. I want to settle this card. It will be late starting on June 4th. Does anyone have any experience with settleing cards with Chase? How long does it usually take to get an offer to settle with them, and how much do they usually settle for? I just settled a Bank of America card for 27% of the balance after 60 days past due.

I have a question about phrasing in validation letter from the collection agency. says: THE ACCOUNT LISTED ABOVE HAS BEEN PLACED WITH OUR AGENCY FOR COLLECTION. YOUR ACCOUNT IS SERIOUSLY PAST DUE AND MUST BE PAID IN FULL OR WE WILL PROCEED WITH APPROPRIATE COLLECTION ACTIVITY. What exactly could "appropriate collection activity" actually mean? Does that mean file a lawsuit? If they threaten and state that they "WILL PROCEED", doesn't that mean that they have to?

Here it is guys, I am a loser I am awful with money. I took out several pdl's and they are haunting me. I closed one account but have two others. I contacted the loan companies and asked them to send me their addresses so that I could send payment. They continue to try and take money out of my accounts and now both of my accounts are overdrawn. My wages are being garnished and I am in a hell hole. My company requires direct deposit and I asked them to stop the dd for the last pay period which they did.

With that being said when you applied for and agreed to the terms of the loan it would have behooved you to read the complete contract you were agreeing to. You are a citizen of the state of Texas, however the contract was not made in the state of Texas. The contract was completed via the World Wide Web; the governing law (clearly outlined in your contract) that you agreed to by your legal e-signature is based on our government laws.

I live in Michigan and I have loans with the following online lenders: littleloanshoppe $200 kingston financial $200 pd $90 bi wk ezcash media $300 pd $89 wk B.I.G. $200 pd $60 $50 and then $40 wk I've paid each one of these except littleloanshoppe over $500 I know easily but my question is are these companies legal or illegal in the state of Michigan? I recently closed out my account at the request of my bank and opened a new one so I'm not worried about them going into it.

Hello, I am located in Texas. I was wondering if anyone could find out for me whether Goodtime Cash is a CSO or not. I know that they are not liscenced in Texas, so in order for them to be legal they would need to be a CSO. Here is some more tricky information about them if you need it: When i first got the loan, they were operating under a company called Red River Ventures. Last week, the name changed to Rocky Boy Ventures. Now, they are saying they are called PDL ventures!
