I never looked at the pay off process until recently after several of my clients told me that they would refinance their payday loans for as long as 6 mns. to a year.
The system of interest that they use is actually based on high risk, because they do have about a 25%-33.7% none payback rate.
But they understand that the majority of their customers will not be able to pay off their loan when it comes due.
We need help16 years 11 months ago Me and my wife have about $20k dollars in cc debt. We've never been late on a payment, but it is getting really, really tight. We have looked at some settlement and debt management/counseling services. What will be our best option. I don't want to get sued. Our highest account is around $7k. Disabled Senior & 20yr Old Loan that wasn't discharged?16 years 11 months ago What do I do? I'm 68 years old on SS Disability since 1990. Have
not been employed (or employable) since and just recently discovered that my student loans were not discharged 20 years ago even though I had applied for a discharge and was never again contacted by FSA. It was through my inquiry in applying for a home mortgage that I discovered this.
I'm told that my loan was not discharged for lack of documentation (maybe lost or misdirected?) and that I will have to start the process all over again, and again wait 3 years for a discharge.
Oh No...Downloaded!!16 years 11 months ago OK-so I have read on here several times about the threats with being "downloaded", but this is the first time I have actually experienced this myself.
Today (Memorial Day) I was at the store with my daughter and got a call from a restricted number, which I did not answer. Soon I had a voicemail from a guy with such a thick accent I could barely understand him. First, he got my name wrong and then left a rambling message that I or my attorney had to call him back and then ended with "May God help me".
