in the last few months i have been looking/working on to build credit. I need to know how often is it ok to apply for credit? how damaging is it to the score every time I apply somewhere?
what else do I need to know?
thanks for teaching me!:)
I was in WalMart and realized they offer a WalMart store credit card and a WalMart Discover credit card. they are free to get, meaning no annual fee. I was wondering if anyone has experience with them?
1.would either of these cards be good to build credit?do they report?
2.are there any hidden fees?
3.I don't plan on using it much, just need a creditor reporting positively on my file for as little cost to me as possible - would this be a good choice?
thanks!:)
My wife and I have several payday loans from both storefron tand internet. Only 2 are storefront. The others are internet, they all total around $2600. Of course we got into the same mess as a lot of people. I contacted a payday loan consolodation place, but can't come up with what they want right now. we have opened a new account and can close the old one before the fee's hit and cause us more grief.
So it all started when decided to buy a mac laptop and during the month that i owned the laptop i felt i havent used it enough to justify the cost and decided to sell it on ebay(worst decision ever). after i sold the laptop i decided to close my paypal account and i did. 1-2 months later the buyer files a complaint saying the windows xp, vm fusion install was not valid demanded her money back. i ask my friend that install the software and he said it was bootlegged copy!
My ex-wife opened several credit cards jointly with me after the divorce. I had no knowledge that these accounts ever existed until I was recently contacted by creditors requesting that I pay them. Turns out that she filed for bankruptcy and her name was removed from these joint accounts. However, my name is on them, and creditors are after me. What do I do?
EZpaydaycash just sent me a series of emails saying thank you for my recent payment and then telling my loan was paid off and I was eligible to borrow again. This despite the fact that my bank account is closed. Is this their way of trying to get me to go online and give them my new banking info? And do they really think I'll fall for it? That is just so transparently devious that it's almost hard to believe . . . .
I would appreciate any input you may have. I will be brief:
Arrow Financial bought my Providian CC debt, which was $2000 at charge-off. Arrow tried to sue me last year for $3200 but they could not find me so case was dismissed w/o prejudice. I recently rec'd a settlement offer forwarded from prior address..
I want to settle before they attempt to sue me again, but I cannot come up with the money for the next couple of months. Should I risk giving them my current address and submit a letter asking for debt validation?
Any helpful advice would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.
Care or a Honda/which is through GE MONEY
Some Settlement companies are telling me yes I can settle these and others are saying no. I'm clueless One is for a lawnmower which is a credit card and so was the Honda which was for a 4-wheeler. Neither item we had to use collaterial.
