PA PDL'S

I am confused as to which PDL's are legal in PA. I have several (ouch) and now have lost my jobs. I need to find a way to keep them from emptying my bank account every two weeks.

credit report

If a debt collector buys an old debt can they report activity on your credit report when they take the debt over? I ask this because I have an attorney that has collected money from me on two collections one I am still paying on I have a feeling he bought another debt. I believe that the statue is or has run out but when I look on my credit report all of a sudden it was reported on in 2009 like they are waiting for me to pay this one off and come after me for the one that the staue has run out I guess when does the sol start?

Draw down on credit line

This is my first post, but I have done quite a bit of research on this site. My question is the following: I have $40,000 in credit card debt with Chase, AMEX, Advanta, and Discover. I have $15,000 in savings and checking. I am about to begin the process of debt settlement on my own, but there is one key that could really help me. I have a BofA $20,000 credit line that is untapped. Wouldn't it be logical to draw down on the credit line and then use that cash to settle all 5 accounts.

How can I get my bank (and my employer as well) to stop allowing ACH activity on my account? It is hammering my account with fees, putting me even more at risk. Any ideas? Thanks. -Pat

Trying to get my credit back on track to buy a house

Hello, I'm a 30 years old and my credit score is in the Mid 500's. I have a wife and a 7 yr old son. When we were both in school, we let our Credit Go!!! :( We had some many bills and really have not began to pay them off. Between the both of us I bet we have about 15 delinquent accounts ranging back 5-7 yrs. Now that we are older and have plans of having another child in the future, we really want to buy a home. My question is where do we start? I'm so discouraged and maybe I'm trying to rush things, but we really want to get our credit back on track.

Help with PDL

I am a financial bind – pre foreclosure and utilities threatening to shut off due to the payday loan mess that I have gotten into. I began using these loans in early 2008 and I am still in the cycle. I have been repeat customers to many of them. My history with these loan places is impeccable because they can just take the money right out my bank account. My real credit obligations are a mess because of this.

Working with the original creditor??

I have an old account that was sent to Mitchell N Kay. I believe this to be past the sol (I am going to pull my credit report and check). I have read quite a few negative things about dealing with this firm. In my research I found letters that tell the CA you want to deal with the original creditor. Does the CA have to let you do this? And can the CA continue to try to collect on the debt while you do this? This is an old chevron account and I want to take care of it if I still have to but I would prefer not to deal with this firm.
