Noticed this one has a Free Credit Repair and PDL links in their signature. I edited their posts and PM'd them to remove the links from their signature. Might want to look into banning them though.

I'm restating information that was posted a long time ago when I first started here but there seems to be some issues with it and I felt it necessary to inform those who may not know my reason for being here. I was a debt collector and a manager for an ageny. My field was mostly credit cards. I did this for slightly over 2 years. The company I worked for did have problem collectors (what agency doesn't?), but over all had a pretty good bunch. I wasn't the best collector but I did well for myself and family.

I got in trouble on with a Chase card a few years ago. I moved and was late on a payment one time, they increased my interest to 30%. I owed 10K on this card, and had no other cards i could transfer this amount to. So I panicked and hired Hess Kennedy as a Dept Settment. Ive been paying them for 2+ years, and recently found out it was basically a scam, and I may or may not get my money back. During this time I was never once contacted by a debt collector. However, today I received a letter from Palisades Collection, advising me they purchased my debt.

The member doing it just joined yesterday and only has 2 posts - one looks like solicitation and the other is just...weird. One of those posts that doesn't make much sense. It would be nice if Mods had the ability to Moderate the Members Only Forum as well as the others.

Background story to my question (to skip story and just read question scroll down): So, I'm in MD with 8 payday loans (at least that is what I'd thought I'd signed up for). I'm aware now after all the excellent, priceless and sincerely appreciated advice from members on this forum that Payday Loans are actually illegal in the state of Maryland. I have closed the bank account by going in person to Wachovia and explaining the situation.

the people are losing their moral while becoming modern. The society needs to be attentive that moral values. Well things needs to be modernized but keeping intact with moral values.
