Can you still file for taxes with Chapter 13? and does Chapter 13 completely stop creditors from collecting any debt during this time? any help would be greatly appreciated.

How does the trustee decide on a payment plan for chapter 13? Is it usually a percentage of your pay or does it go by debt? and if so whats the percentage? Thanks!

Hello again, I defaulted on a loan like 7 years ago. The CA is sending me a letter trying to collect, but I am in no shape to pay it. I'm in CA. Can they take me to court?

I have a student loan with a cosigner and am thinking of chap 13. I am filing by myself and the loan is current and will be current until filed. What will happen to the cosigners credit regarding this loan. since its chap 13 would it come up as still being paid during the 5 years of the restructered payment? Any help please????????/

I sent payday one a request for their license to operate in the state of Kentucky. I received a response from their legal department stating that they were licensed in Delaware and that the contract I signed made me liable for the charges. I responded that I knew they were operating illegally within Kentucky and that I had $200 left to pay to cover the principal balance as well as Kentucky fees - they will not accept this offer. What is my next step?

I am thinking of chap 13 but would like to know if creditors can garnish wages while in chapter 13? Also wanted to know if you can still file for taxes if in chap 13? Thanks

Pressler & Pressler/ Pallisades Collection LLC has been coming after me for various debts that I supposedly owe since 2004. At first, being naive, I paid off one debt in full and am $800 away from paying off a (2nd) $6000 debt. In March 2009, my joint bank account was levied in the amount of $1200 for a (3rd) debt that I allegedly owe from the birth of my son in the year 2000. I was on Medicaid at the time but Medicaid no longer has records from the year 2000 so I can not prove it.

Has anyone ever heard of a company called Primerica? I am told that they are some kind of debt consolidatiohn company. A friend of mine has a possible job opportunity with them and I wanted to see if I could obtain siome information here about that company.

There's a new tv show about repo'ing autos. The people who do it are just criminals with paychecks. They go around with their crew and terrorize and repo cars from college kids in polo shirts and suburban moms and dads. People who need those cars to get to work. Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture? Those of us who are actually the traditional stability of society are being fed upon by criminals who now have the sanction of the banks and govt? Do those banks even have a clue what they are doing to the future? I'm tired of this "you did it to yourself attitude".
