We are trying to do our own debt settlement and just stopped paying our credit cards 2-3 months ago.We just received a letter from NCO Financial Systems INC,is this a CA?The letter states the above named creditor has placed this account with our office for collection.Says to send pymt to creditor listed below "which is the credit card company".Says unless you notify this office within 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt this office will assume this debt is valid etc....What do I do next? Do I send a validation letter?

I received a call from PDM telling me that I owe $560.00 for a payday loan that I defaulted on with Access Processing. The lady's name was Ms. Watkins and she told me that since I live in Texas and they can't garnish my wages but they can file a judgment against me and stipule my check for the entire amount plus attorney's fees which would come out to about $2000.00. Well Ms. Watkins called my former manager as well and is now going to call my Human Resource's department. She told me that the police were going to come to my employer and serve me and my HR rep.

Hello all, I found this forum and have been doing some reading, and I just wanted to say it sounds like a really helpful community. I was just wanting some advice about how to handle my PDL with upfrontcash.com. Information: 1) Loan is from upfrontcash.com. As far as I know they are an internet company. I have another loan with a storefront company for $435.00 loan with a $65.00 finance fee every two weeks but I don't have any problems with them. This is just about upfrontcash.com. 2) The original amount of the loan was $400.00 with a $520.00 repay which you can rollover for $120.00.

I qualified for hardship with NCO in the fall. When I came up for review at the end of Feb. I had the same income which is $580 two times per month bring home. I received a letter stating that I no longer qualified for hardship because I made 4300 per month. I called to inform them of the error because they are going to garnish $378/mo from my check unless I voluntarily repay. I have 3 children at home to care for. I made a request for reconsideration, but I have now been told that unless I pay the $378 they will begin the garnishment even before they have the reconsideration hearing.

Can someone plaes explain to me how long neg adverse info can stay on my credit report? When does that start? If an item is a charge off, when does 7 yrs start? What is first delinquency and how is that figured? How long can late student loan payments be reported? Late auto leases that went into charge off status? Help!!! Last May I had a bank acct frozen and about $700.00 held by my bank. I think it's called a Garnishment - Restraining Notice. I spoke with the bank when it happened and they said that the party that put the hold on my acct would have to have it lifted. more : email deleted..paulmergel My question is since my BK was filed 9 days ago, how long will it be until the party that did this to my bank acct lift it?

I wish I had known about this group last week! I received a call from Resurgent six days ago asking me if I wanted to take advantage of an offer to settle my debt on my Sears card.

my question please is this: Can a summons be issued without your knowledge and/or if this happens would it show up on your credit report?
