I guess it is a great news when the judge granted me the motion. Due to a fatal technicality on the Plaintiff's Affidavit of Service. Before the hearing, the Plaintiff was acting tough and trying to play me. Telling me that when you apply for a credit card you don't need to sign the contract. Telling me that they have all the statements and the judgment from 2 yeas ago was good enough. I said no, I didn't want to settle. My attitude to him was relentless and "just about to push him in the face." :) I told him he got no proofs.

I am trying to settle or reconstruct a payment plan for private loans through salliemae. Does anyone have a # that I could call to get someone directly that is in a high enough position to give me an answer? Thanks so much!!

Hi everyone. I started today my first time home buying process and got a huge shocker. There is a judgment against me for $2600 from Civil Court in NYC. The plaintiff is Colonial Credit Corporation. I have no clue what that is and where that came from. I never recieved any papers or summons. I want to get this off of my credit report ASAP. Please I will like any and all the help . Thanks

I don't know where to start. I have 6 pdls right now. I live in utah. I have been reading alot here but still have some questions. I lost my job a few months back and can no longer pay the intrest on my loans. I know about the payment plan here in utah ( 4 payments) but I can't even afford that right now. is there any thing I can do? All 6 are store front. Are there any companies that can help me? I called the # at the top, but they told me they can not help with pdls in utah. can someone please help me? I'm to the point now I can't sleep.

Hi I am frustrated and annoyed. I have recently checked my credit report in anticipation of getting a mortgage. I noticed that I have A judgemnt against me.

Not that I liked paying $150 every 3 months but now Sallie Mae reps told me they no longer forbear or do anything. So, since they won't work with me on a reasonable payment plan ($800 month is what they want), consolidate, defer, or forbear...what am I supposed to do? I'm unemployed but actively seeking work. I'm using a ebt card to pay for food and living with a friend. I wouldn't care if they wage garnished me when I got a job but my mom is my cosignor

My daughter wanted to open a Campus Edge Free Checking and regular savings at BOA because I have accounts there. She just turned 18. She signed up online and when they asked for a $25 minimum deposit, she ran downstairs to get her purse and when she came upstairs, the screen had said it logged her out for security reasons and she would have to re-apply because her information was not completed. Fair enough. I helped her on the second one and she completed it with the deposits.

my ex-husband refinanced a rental property today through his bank. He told the finance lady that he had a prior bankruptcy in 2004 and this had been discharged. She had that marked on the application that he had not had a bankruptcy at all for the past 7 years, he did not mention this to her today because he had talked to her about it when she was filling out the loan papers on Feb. 22nd. She asked him if he had made any large purchases recently and he replied no he had not and that he was not planning on filing bankruptcy.

I live in Delaware. I got myself into the payday loan mess: my car broke down and i couldn't afford to fix it, there was a death in the family i had travel expenses for, and with all of that going on i fell a little behind on my rent. Last week I started taking PDLs to try and catch up. Anyone have experience with case management meetings regarding cc debt and collectors? I recently received a civil summons, from Daniels Law Office of Quincy, MA for an old MBNA cc debt. I sent two certified letters asking for validation, and what I got back was a copy of an arbitration award from National Arbitration Forum, who I have read is very tight with MBNA. Nothing with my signature, no payment history, contract, breakdown of amount allegedly owed, etc. The award is adressed to Wolpof and Abrams, not Daniels Law Office.
