who are they and who do they collect for they are out of Denver CO they are blowing up my phone

I keep getting computer calls asking for me by my maiden name which I haven't used for over 30 years. The first time I got this call that asked if I was that person to dial 1, I did. Then they computer asked me to swear I was that person before dialing 1 again. At that point, I hung up because I wasn't so curious anymore. Still I am very curious what this is all about. One reason I am so curious is my mother had on occasion YEARS ago used my name with my maiden name to open credit accounts. She had and have crappy credit and not very much money.

I requested a pretrial conference (this Monday) just in case I needed to request discovery. (debt collection case credit card account) Since the time that I requested pretrial conference I have received (through a disclosure statement) everything that the plaintiff plans to use as evidence at the trial. This is ALL that the plaintiff is allowed to use at trial so long as no further discovery is requested or required. All of their evidence provided to me proves nothing and is hearsay stuff.... I wonder if I should still request the discovery.

I am having trouble with this function, it worked fine for me a couple of days ago but now it is not working. Any advice?

dear friends, if someone has a moment please help me figure this out: on my Experian file, an account a 158$ debt was listed. I sent debt validation letter two times to the collection agency and never heard from them - no idea what this was for. I disputed online with Experian and the result was REVIEWED and the item is listed. What to do with this one now? On my Transunion file a medical debt of 505$ was listed. I received a reply from the collection agency to verify the debt.

I have a student loan that was cosigned by my parents. Now I have to make a decision on whether to go to a debt consolidation or file bankruptcy. Which would do less damage to my parents credit on the loan?

This is very frustrating.... are they trying to be tricky. I paid off the account a while ago to a company that HSBC sold it to. Does anyone have a suggestion on how i should respond in my answer to court. I have less than thirty days left to respond. Thanks.

I defaulted on an SLM loan in 2003. This is the last time I was contacted by them. The default doesn't show up on my credit report and SLM has no record of he loan. It has apparently been sold to a collection agency. I receive disability from the VA. Does this secondary agency have the authority to garnish my VA disability.
