Removing PAID FEDERAL TAX LIENS?

17 years 1 month ago
Does anyone have a cure for this one? I have been trying to get our paid federal tax liens removed for three years now. They were both paid in full in 2005.

illegal or legal payday loan companies in Florida/Help!

17 years 1 month ago
First, I want to apologize if this post is already here. I've tried different search criteria before posting but I'm still confused. Here's my status: Hubby and I have ten payday loans. Five are in our joint account and four are in his individual account. I researched info. here (THANK GOD FOR THIS FORUM BTW!!) and called Bank of America, explained the situation. The CS rep. suggested that since I have checking advantage to stop all the ACH debits for 4/15 (next ach debits on my payday). Luckily, there weren't charges per transaction.

Who keeps their debt after charge-off and who uses CA's?

17 years 1 month ago
I have a couple cards approaching charge-off and I would rather work with the orginal company as much as possible. Are their certain credit card companies that are more likely to keep the debt themselves after charge-off? Who are the easist to work with tight before (or right after) charge-off? The debts I have include: BofA Discover CapOne Chase Citibank Thanks!!

Is Integrity advance legal in Texas?

Working thru the process now. It appears from info on this site that 3 of the 6 PDL's i have out are not legal. I have put a block on ACH's from my checking and opened an acct at a different bank. I still have one loan from Integrity that I am not sure about. Can anyone tell me if they are a legal lender in TExas? Thanks SO much for all of ya'lls help!!

Debt Not Validated ... Next Step?

17 years 1 month ago
In February of 2009, I received a collection letter from Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co. on behalf of Hilco Receivables. I promptly sent both of them debt validation letters via USPS CM+RR, giving them 30 days to validate the debt. Their 30 days were up on March 6th (Hilco) and March 9th (WWR). Since I know CAs can't technically be held to those 30 days, I gave them a little more time on top of the original time so they could validate the debt. We're a few days short of 60 days now and neither Hilco nor WWR have responded - in other words, the debt was never validated.

How do you know the debt and collector are legitimate?

17 years 1 month ago
I received a Summons to go to Civil Court in Fl by an Attorney/Debt Collector for Capital One Bank. I cannot remember what the amount was I owed, it has been awhile, seemed like I paid them forever on a $300 credit line and finally gave up. Believe me they got their money out of me. Now they say I owe $963 plus legal fees and interest. This does not sound right to me. They want me to call them and settle with them before the Mediation date. I have concerns of who they really are? I don't want to pay money to a fraud! I sent them a letter asking them to Validate the Debt.

Being sued by a law firm.

17 years 1 month ago
Hello. I live in the state of Pennsylvania. I am being sued by Patenaude & Felix law offices on behalf of Capital One Bank. I owe $1,443.12 plus interest as of November 2006. The debt has been in default since the summer of 2006. The date the complaint was filed is Sept. 13, 2008. They electronically signed the complaint and gave verification. The date it was filed to the local prothonotary was Feb. 13, 2009. I didn't not recieve the notice until Feb. 24, 2009. I looked through it briefly and disregarded at first.

DMP HELL!!

17 years 1 month ago
I am currently 4 mos into my DMP and while my interest is lower, not 18-31%, the minimum payment only saves me about $150 per month on my $36000 worth of cc debt. I was informed by my DMP company that after 12 months of payments they would be able to renegotiate my interest. How true is this? If it is not true I will be pissed to say the least.
