I was contacted bt ACM Group today by phone leaving a message with a 1-866 number without the reason foe calling. They only stated that I need to contact them before 2 pm on 3 April. I called the numer and they said that I accumulated a debt on feb 2002 from Bank of America. I was in germany at this time and germany does not have such banks. They told me that I owed over 8,000,but wee wi9lling to allow me to settle for 4000. when asked where did the debt originate they told me that the original paperwork was forwaded to an attorney already and they didn'y know. I thought this was odd.

Settled all my accounts.  When is it ok to apply for a small loan from a finance instution?  Credit went from 705 to 544.  Have 1 card for 6000 on my credit.  It was a school tuition purchase.  Any thoughts.  I'm saying like 1000 and pay it off quick to establish some credit.  Evev though the finance instutions are a black mark?

I got a call on my caller ID, and the number matches ursi.com I wasn't home, they left no message, but if in fact they were trying to contact me about a so called debt, what should I ask for when they call again, and I answer? A letter? I don't recall owing any money tht I haven't arrangements made, or arrangements pending. Thanks!!

This company is a joke. They will not send me anything that shows I owe the debt. I never ordered anything from the original creditor. They told me I needed to pay the bill and then they could send me proof. I have reported them to the BBB, Federal Trade Commission  and plan to take further action if needed...They also told me that they would charge me for talking to me on the phone. They called me at work and I told them not to call me at work anymore as Florida law prohibits it and they told me they would call me everyday.

Curious to know how many people out there have tried working with their banks to modify their loans?  I see a lot of post. Also curious to all the people who think that the loan modification companies are "scams"  Is there a reason that you feel this way?  Have you personally been scammed?  Did you turn them in?

Hello there, I have a few payday loans that I have been paying on for quite sometime. Of course, they always call me when it is getting close to paying them each month. This month I asked if it would be okay if I came in on the day after my payment is due as it was impossible for me to get there on the due date this time.  I have always been prompt with my payments so far - never a day late. Well, needless to say, even though I was told it was fine to go ahead and come in that day, they sent my check through anyway and of course, since I have just gotten paid, it was paid.

I just wanted to ask if anybody here has ever got an EPP from Cashnet USA. I know they are legal and that they are a CFSA member so they should offer their customers EPP. But I wanna know if anybody has actually did that?? I have a 1200$ loan with them and I already know I won't be able to pay it off so I want to ask for an EPP myself.

My husband passed away on thanksgiving day, 2008..january 2009 hiday & ricke started the investigation to garnish my pay..they can't tell me what it is for but that it goes back to 1988 orginally then from a judgement in 2001 from First Select...I have no idea, or I just can't remember, who they are..I am a widow with a daughter and grand-daughter counting on me..they have garnished almost $500 per month..I have tried to find out how much I owe but they will NOT tell me..I have sent at least 5 e-mails requesting this without recieving 1 reply..at the start the judgement was approx.

I want to try and settle with CA on charged off credit card. I just don't know how to handle it. If they accept my offer, I want to be sure that they don't try to come back at me later. Which they may not even work with me at all. I feel they will say they can only take payment in full, which is not a option for me. Anyone have any advice? Any one been through settlement after charge off?
