I have a paid in full letter from a CA but on my credit report, it is still showing that I owe them.  I want to send all three CB's a letter telling them to appropriately fix this on my report but I'm not exactly sure what to include in the letter, Does anyone have advice and should they be sent certified mail? Thank you : )

I transferred about $10,000 from one card to another over a year ago.  Otherwise, I haven't used that card.  I am now filing chap 7, but wonder if they will argue for that debt to go back to the original creditor or if there would be any other problem.

I've been told by a few members that I should sue a CA for continued collection after I sent them a DV, which they never answered, and filed suit against me 3 weeks later.  I've been researching what kind of case I have against them...and came across the staff opinion letter displayed on the FTC's FDCPA homepage....

414-433-0269 it came up as that on my Vm at work on friday when I was off,  I can't find anything online regarding the number.  When I go to white pages it says it's unpublished. No one 800 number to call back nothing. I'm about to file a complaint with DFI... The voice message says to give "Jason" a call back at number above gives a file number, and at the end "good luck" good luck to what?  lol.. god gotta love collection agencies.

On my credit report by Trans Union, the credit card debt is to be removed from Trans Union's report, in June 2010. I last paid on the credit card in the summer of 2003. The state SOL is 6 years. So, when is the SOL time frame ending? June 2009?

Hi! Does anyone know if Red River is the same company as Together Cash? Together Cash has stopped taking money from my checking account and instead there is a new company taking the same amount by the name of Red River? They're taking $120 out. I believe they are illegal in Arizona? Thank-you!

Hi All, Thanks to everyone ahead of time for helping me figure this one out. I've read some of the forums and have seen this topic addressed in pieces, but I'm hoping someone can sum it all up for me in one thread... so here goes.... In late 2002, I was ripped off by some old roommates when I moved out of state. They took the money I left them to pay the final utility bills (which were in my name) and didn't pay them. A few months later, I recieved a "3rd and final notice" from the utility company in early 2003, although I never recieved the first two.

Just paid off another debt in full. Now I can turn to the next one and get that paid off.

Hi, I have 2 loans with sallie mae, one private and one federal, both are in default. The private loan is with sallie's CA allied intersate on a payment plan. The federal loan is on the 6th month rehab payment with edfund. My question is, after I rehab my edfund loan can I consolidate both loans into one federal loan?
