I sent the the lawyers for Cache LLC a DV Letter and they responded with an original statement with the charge-off amount, an Affidavit of Claim & Certification of Debt from B of A which indicated the original contract is not available. Is is enough documentation to satisfy the Debt Validation Request or should I dispute this again with them? They have not sued yet but want me to contact them to arrange payment.

I have/had two Sears cards. One was a Mastercard, which could be used anywhere any Mastercard is accepted. I defaulted on this card, and it was sold to LVNV shortly after charge-off. Balance was about $4K. I also have a Sears store card, that can only be used at Sears or K-Mart. I am trying to stay current with this card, but I'm not sure how much longer I can. Would a Sears store card also be sold to a JDB after charge-off, or would I face a lawsuit from the OC?

My husband and I are drowning under payday loans. He will be losing his job in August but we honestly can't even make it until then if we continue to carry the loans. A fifth of our income is now going to fees. We will lose our car if we keep the loans this month. We have the following loans: Cash Transfer Center $500 (internet) Cash Central $700 (internet) Cash 1 $350 (store front) Check Into Cash $350 (store front) In WA, we are not allowed extentions or to pay off in installments unless we have done 4 loans with no more than 3 days between loans.

I recently sent a debt validation letter to a collection agency. they failed to respond at all within the 30 days. right before i could send them another letter requesting them to erase this debt from my credit reports, i got a call from another collection agency about the same debt. is the debt still valid and do i have to send this new company another validation letter? what's to keep them from just bouncing it around to other agencies? thanks for any help. ryan

Is Encore allowed to pull my credit report without my authorization?? I do not even know who they are. My husband and I are looking to buy a house. After pulling our credit report, I noticed that they pulled my credit on Feb 9, 2009. They did not have my permission. I don't even know who they are and do not have any debt associated with them!!

Need to know Sallie Mae Phone Number: We started receiving calls yesterday from 866-558-6255. They called four times over the course of the day and no one was home and they didn't leave any messages. They started calling this morning at 8:07, 8:52, 9:42, 9:43, 10:57 and 11:14 a.m. Needless to say they woke us up with the first two calls. My husband finally answered the third one at 9:42 and they asked for a Logan Hughes. My husband informed them they had the wrong number and then they asked if he knew a Logan Hughes, which he told them no and said, "Don't call me any more".
