I read some threads here last week and used one of the sample letters to send to 4 payday loan companies. I was getting multiple calls in a 3 day period, and literally, when I emailed the letter to all 4 companies, all calls stopped. It has been two days without any calls. Does anyone have any comments on this? Should I expect calls or letters again soon? I live in Colorado and the PDL's were Ameriloan, 500FastCash, Zip 19 and also Western Sky which went to Cash Call. I already overpaid 3 except Cash Call which I still owed a balance of 500 dollars, in principal.

I have gotten myself into quite an ugly mess with PDL's and after reading here, I think all of them that I have out now are illegal in the state of WA. I think I am ready to take this by the horns and send out the C&D letters but to be honest, I'm really afraid of what they will say and the calls I know are sure to come.

can you recommend a legit company to help me? originally i owed a total of 1700 already paid 2300 account 600 negative every time i pay it to zero something else posts overnight got a quote for 150 fee will take 10 months at 355 a month so when its all done its going to end up costing me 6200 for the original1700 does that sound about right ??seems close to what the lenders wanted in the first place

I have a loan with usawebcash.com (Genesis Financial) that I placed a stop payment on. I got an email stating that the loan was paid off and the payment method was "wl". When I logged on under my account the last transaction says "waive loan" whereas the rest that I paid says something different. When I called either I was told that they didn't know what that means and transferred me to another department but no one answered or no one answered at all. Does anyone know what that means? Has anyone seen "waive loan" before with an installment loan company?

Haven't paid any money to Cash Call (for Western Sky loan) since finding out they were illegal tribal. I've received several "documents" from CC, but have never responded. Today, I logged into their site and looked at the loan status page, and my interest rate apparently has been dropped to 12%. Haven't heard back from them either since I sent them a msg stating I'd only pay principle. Anyone else experienced this?

OK, so i have 4 payday loans currently and live in RI. From what I have read on here RI is kind of PDL friendly. I am trying to figure out the best way to get out of this losing battle I have managed to get myself in. One of the PDL's is an online one and i have sent them a cease and desist from ACH withdrawals and closed my account. This one is CASHYES.COM, which from what I have ben reading is bad news. The initial loan was for $1250, i know a lot. I have since paid back that amount and then some. The other 3 are all store fronts and all for $450 each.

Anyone ever had a loan with them? http://www.westernshamrock.com/services I took a $400 payday loan from the storefront, made a few payments, renewed a couple of times. now I can't make my payments, around $70/month. Anyone ever dealt with them? Wondering if I can try to deal or if they will come to my home/work for collections (had other storefront PDLs do this to me). I can't remember if they do security agreements or not, or if they are gonna come repo my TV or something!
