I have been getting some emails saying they are from the FBI. I went to the FBI website and started filing complaints. Do not respond to these to these emails. You can file complaints on these emails and if you file a complaint, be sure to keep the email. Some of these emails can sound quite threatening. I just want to make everyone aware of this.

Hi everyone! Did you miss me? Things have been so crazy for us that it isn't even funny. I have been so busy looking for a job and trying to get a few small projects done around the house and helping my daughter with some things. Plus I just recently signed up to be a Pampered Chef Consultant. I need a way to get back out around people, plus I really like Pampered Chef, so at least it is something I can get behind. I sent off a DV to the "Law Office" of Brachfeld & Associates when they were calling me over a couple weeks period. I hadn't talked to them but after two weeks and no dunning letter I just sent off the DV. But because I had not received a dunning letter I did not know what account they were calling about so my DV just gave my name, address and phone number. Well the day I mailed the DV I got their dunning letter!

They have just have me served to appear in court. The ammount is for 784.13 and "costs" What should I do? Should I just call North Star, not the Attorneys and pay them or what?

My mom has accrued significant debt due tot he failure of her business. She has about 130K in unsecured credit card debt that she is personally liable for. My parents have a house that appraises at 625K but hasn't sold after being listed for 550K for several months now. The house has 340K in mortgages. She was considering bankruptcy for a while.
