I am in a battle with Resurgence financial and have had no luck in either trying to settle or eliminate them altogether because of all of the underhanded schemes they are pulling. Does anyone know someone I could talk to about this. Apparently they had a judgement against me a few years ago that I did not know about. I never received any delivery of a summons or court documents. I only heard about this about a year ago and now they have tried to freeze my bank account which I claimed a personal property exemption. Now today I think they have done it again. HELP????????????

I had to add 2nd job, working 8 hours to my full time job because I have to catch up with bills. I don't want them to consider this as my permanent income.

I recently sent out a DV letter to a company on my credit report. They responded with a copy of a NSF check that it looks like I wrote 04/2005. The check was written in Idaho I now live in CA. They state they are forwarding this check to Security Chekc for collection and to contact them for payment. Is this too old to worry about paying or should I pay it to avoid going on my credit report from Security Check? Is a copy of a check enough to validate the debt per the sample letter you have on the site?

Since I wrote 43 days ago I followed the advice of all the above. I sent a letter to the following asking for a letter of satisfaction of the wage execution. Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General, Office Of The Governor, Court Officer(who was in charge of the money received by wage execution), Gloucester County Civil Part Court Clerk, Gloucester County Affaires, Better Business Bureau and Pressler & Pressler.

I was in a debt settlement program with CNI. During that time one of the accounts they settled before I withdraw was an account that was a Walmart credit card issued by GE Capital aka GE Money Bank. Well, there was a settlement agreed to and paid by CNI on my behalf to the collection law firm that was collecting on it. This was in January of this year. Thought that would be the end of it. Well, now I've got a dunning letter from Central Credit Services trying to collect for LVNV on what would be the difference between what the settlement was and what the original balance was!

I just took out a loan with them in Texas.My question is are the legal? I'm thinking of just paying back the principal only if they are illegal.

So i was served today by Mann Bracken well it definitely wasn't someone who worked for them, the debt started in 2006 here in California. So i used to live in Orange County, and moved back to Alameda County, and the summon's date is January 9th for the paper i got served today. I checked for the status on Alameda County's paperwork and i get no information, but will there be information now that i got served? I checked to see if it was in Orange County and here it is. What do i do guys? Should i go to court now?

I'm currently enrolled in a debt consolidation program, but my husband had perfect credit history with a credit score in the 800s, until recently when he was told that his score was 620. He was livid, especially when credit card companies started to bring his credit limits to the minimum. How much does my credit affect his?

Has anyone went throught AFS and if you have did it work?
