I got a letter dated Feb 19 2009 from ABC on a debt .... Today I got a letter from NCO dated March 9th on the same debt the same amount ....................... Help

So as all of you, I also recieved a phone call today from H&P capital...I was transferred to three different people when they could not answer the questions i was asking. I was told that i need to pay 971.00 by five pm today. they advise they are a leison between webpayday and asi...whatever that means. i told them i could not pay today and acknowledged that i did ow 625.00 not 971.00 ....they said that i owe 971.00 and that i should borrow from family and friends then. i advised them i was not going to do so.

I recently received a Judgement against my for an unpaid car loan. I have been trying over the past few days to find as much information as possible, but unfortunately everything seems quite vaugue. I currently reside in NC, and the Judgement is in a different county than what I live in now. At this point is there anything I can do?

I've seen a lot of discussion back and forth here about how useful the BBB is as a resource. Some have taken the stance that their rating system is unfair, and others hold the BBB as an end all be all resource for finding a company. Recently there has been some discussion alluding to the BBB having a bias toward the Debt Settlement industry with not much information backing the argument either way.

So i called and spoke to the manager today about a replayement plan , and she said that I could come in and pay 272.50 this week and 272.50 in the next two weeks. or that i could give her another check and I could take out a new loan to cover the old one....assuming that I would give her my new check acct number....there crazy....I asked her and told her there was no way I could do that, abnd if there was any way i could make smalller payements- guess what she said----you already know!!!! No----im send them a 20 m/o everytime i get paid to i pay them off!

I read a lot about disputing reports if you feel things are innacurate....can it hurt you if you lose the dispute? Also when people evaluate your credit or figure your credit score, is there a general breakdown of what counts for how much, like a percentage of say utilization, collections, late payments, and inquiries?

Didn't Bill Clinton pass something so that a stundent loan that was over 25 years old would be forgiven?

Hi! I was hoping for some advice/thoughts. I have two past due BoA CCs (15 K and 35K). Before this, I never missed a payment. My income barely pays our other bills. My husband has been starting up a business ans "should" be making $ soon, but that was his story for almost a year now. I am getting a tax refund for 10K. As of right now, that is all we have. Do I tell BoA 10K is all we have and ask for a settlement on that? Is that wa too low?What is the best way to settle?

Don't think I can post links here, but if you Google "BIG-INT Payday Loan Operator" you'll come across a link from November 2008 at a website called "consumerhelpweb." They're facing FTC charges regarding advertising and collection tactics and the Nevada AG is adding additional charges!

hi everyone, i signed up with global solution network llc and century negotiations inc almost one year ago. they promised me to pay off my credit cards (i have 2) in two years. i would have to pay $320 every months for two years. a few weeks ago one of my credit cards started to call trying to collect dept. i told them that i am working with century negotiations inc. so to make my story short, century negotiations had never contacted my credit cards. so i called them to find out what was going on.
