the legal department of National Processing....

17 years 2 months ago
I don't know what to do. I recieved a second phone call today from Bryan Smith who says he works for the legal department of National Processing Division. The first time he called back in January, he claimed I owed $640 for a defaulted IPDL to Crown Lending. I've never had a loan with Crown Lending. The scary thing is, he had all of my info! All of it! My SSN! And a checking account # that's been closed for more than 6 months. He threatened to take me to court if I didn't pay immediately by credit card. I refused and told him to take me to court.

How do I change username?? Secondly, it looks like that I have no choice but to go ahead for debt settlement. I am studying information before stepping on. I am worried because our cars are old and so is our fridge and we keep paying for car repairs. I had to pay 1100 for tranny and now I have to pay 350 something for a ball joint. ??? Thanks.

being sued..

17 years 2 months ago
I just have a quick question, I love how human beings say that but really it is been on your mind for like 3 days. Anyways to get to the point. I was stupid and young at 18 and was given a 5000 credit card from BofA. I always made minimum payments on it or would try to pay it off. After that I had a child that forced me to move from a big bustling city to a slower paced enviroment where I had more family.

Solicitation

17 years 2 months ago
Solicitation in our forums have increased. Today I came to know about a quick message posted in Smo65d11's homepage. Here's the screen shot This is indeed a solicitation. Frogpatch was referring yesterday that some of our members are also soliciting through private messages. It's not at all a good sign. We need to stop them. Any suggestions or thoughts? Jason

Midland Credit Management

I read one post where someone here sued MCM, or Midland Credit Management and won. If you've gone through this experience with MCM, please email me or send me a private message. I have about 60 names and the Gov. of Missouri's office involved in shutting them down in Missouri - would like to know what others have done. Thanks.

garnishment dispute

17 years 2 months ago
upon reviewing this w w w.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/DCS/awg.html i discovered this line in reference to proposed garnishment and validity of claim "Unpaid Refunds owed by the school attended by the borrower with the loan proceeds." in 2002 the university i attended lost a appeals court ruling dealing with illegally charging over 100,000 students tuition. the amount I was over-billed was in the thousands yet I will never see a remedy from the school for this amount. my question is this according to that line could i dispute a proposed garnishment of my wages?

Sued on a time barred debt?

17 years 2 months ago
I posted about this before with a debt collector who is suing me. I seriously do not remember having this account and it is not on any of my credit reports. I have disputed it from day one and the only thing I get for validation is a fake credit card statement from another debt collector who sold it to the one who is suing me. None of the information is from the original creditor. I already filed a motion to dismiss for unlicensed debt collection in my state and a whole mess of other lies I had on paper from the attorney for them but it got denied.

I was sued by HFC.I have tried talking to HFC and they will not take any lesser payment as a monthly payment and wanted me to pay $250 a month and I did pay them for a few months and defaulted. Today I received a letter in the mail for HFC's lawyer and this is the content of the letter. Please explain what does this letter mean and what are my options. Thank you so much . The letter says: Notice of Intent to enter default and application for enry of default and default judgement. To: Defendant. My name.

Please define initial contact

17 years 2 months ago
I had thought that once you get a phone call from a CA that would be initial contact. By that I mean the phone rings and even if you do not answer that would be the contact. Based on another post I just saw initial contact if over the phone would be when you actually talk to the CA when they call. So is initial contact (if done by phone) when a CA first calls you even if you do not answer or only if you answer the phone. Thanks!
