MY HUSBAND OWES $6000 TO A REPAIR SHOP FOR HIS BIG RIG. WE HAVE ALWAYS PAID THEM, BIT THE AMOUNT OF 100.00 A MONTH HAS NOT MADE THEM HAPPY. THEY HAVE NOW TURNED OVER TO COLLECTIONS & WE HAVE BEEN PAYING THEM 200.00 FOR THE PAST 6 MO. THEY CASH SOME OF THEM, THEN SEND SOME BACK. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Back in Feb. I sent out my certified letters to the illegal pay day loan companies that I have loans with. That is the letter that basically revokes everything and tells them not to contact me by telephone. Only contact me in writing. These loan companies didn't pay any attention to that. My state Dept. of Finance has also sent these folks letters. They are contacting me at work. One of these "jacks" called the secretary where I work and told her I owed them four hundred and something dollars! They didn't even ask to speak to me--just called and told whoever answered.

I was told to post this question from my friend "sassnlucy". I have recived several messages just today from a collection company claiming that this creditor "Quick Cash international" is filing suit against me in the state of Ohio and California. I live in Ohio. First, they could not give me the exact name of the company that I loaned with, nor could give me the number to contact them myself! I was told that they would get them on the phone and call me back in 30 seconds. I have not been notified by the company regarding the potential suit.

First of all thanks to everyone on this site, your knowledge and helpfulness is truly a blessing. That said how did this all start? I am sure my story is very similar to many here but I still feel the need to bore everyone with my plight. Sure the economy is tough and has a lot to do with getting in this mess but I have also lost nearly 60% of my income (our income). My wife is a realtor…nuff said but what really hurts is I am a compulsive gambler, have been for many years. I have been back in forth with trying to curtail my gambling but when the going gets tough I go gamble.

Ok...so Mann Bracken is suing me and the court date is April 8th. We are seeing a bk attorney on March 12th and will be filing as soon as everything is ready. I've tried to work things out, but there is no way I can settle all our accounts. My question is, will I still have to go to the court date on April 8th?

what will happen if I return the car and default on the loan?

I have an HSBC Auto Loan. I no longer want the car or to be stuck in this loan because the rates have increased. I am worried about what will happen to me if I return the car. Does anyone have any experience with returning a car financed through HSBC.

Now that they are bankrupt has anyone settled with Advanta recently I am 3 months delinquent what can I expect to pay in settlement. perveen
