hi, i am not a resident in the us. But on my last visit to us, i fell sick and incurred 12000 dollars in medical bill. now i recieved a bill from collection agency. But they only have my old address in my home country. Should i call them to make payment arrangements coz i cant pay them in full. I am unemployed. please advice. thanks.

I live in Fla and got a call tonite from someone who claimed to be from chase bank where I have a $3600 cc Bal unpaid for 3-4 months now. They said paperwork had been filed and I should be served any day now unless I made some type of payment arrangements. I offered what i could and they declined. I explained I'm judgement proof (hoh, less than $500 wk income, self employed in declining home business, homestead and no attachable assets except $100 in the bank, filing for disability,. on foodstamps and medicaid).

My wife recently added my name to her savings account and wells fargo took all of her savings for a debt i had before we were married can they take my wife funds

Why do the "experts" give this kind of advice for establishing or rebuilding credit.... from bankrate.com "Another option: Try a department store, a gas company or some other smaller credit card. It will help you in your daily finances, and it will also help rebuild that credit. If you can handle a Macy's or a Texaco card, major card companies will be impressed." Its not just bankrate...

Can a collection agency garnish your paycheck through the courts?

I have 4 payday loans and am very new to getting these loans and just got them because I am going through a divorce and trying to stay afloat from the loss of my spouses income. I am in California and want to see if Paydaymax.com, mycashnow, cashnetusa and First Bank of Delaware are legal in California, if they aren't in may help me in negotiating a settlement payment. Thaks so much for any help that I can get.

I have three judgements against me at this time. The first creditor got a garnishment of 25% of my pay. I have 4 years of this to pay. Then the next creditor will be up. It may take another 2 years to pay that one. If it takes me six years to pay the first two off and the statute of limitations in my state is six years will the third creditor still be able to collect on their judgement?
