Palisades started calling Feb 26th three calls so far no letter yet .. The leave this message : This messageis for My name) I am calling from Palisades collection this is a attempt to collect a debt .. This is left on my answering machine .. Is this legal I have no idea what Bill they have but heard there stock was 1.54 and they are closing the PA call center so maybe they will bit the dust also .. If they dont send a letter shoud I DV them they also left a reference # on the message .. Thanks

Can anyone help me with this problem? I had a student loan that i have been in rehab with pioneer collections since april 08" my 9th payment was in dec 08". I called to confirm my loan would be removed from my credit and it would be bought by a lender. I was told that i had reached another department and that i had a loan in defaut with them as well. I was devastated after scraping to make the payment on the loan i was paying on for the last nine months!!

I had a pdl with CTC and defaulted on purpose through the advice on this awesome website. I HAD 8 payday loans but they are slowly dwindling down thanks to the help I have received here. I sent a email to CTC stating that they are not legal in Nevada but that I would pay the loan just not the principle. They have never responded or tried to contact me in any way since then which is about a month ago. Has anyone had this experience? Is this the calm before the storm? :? I cannot log on to their website anymore so I don't know how to proceed with them but I don't want to call either.

Hi, I need someone's help.I've decided that I am going to try to settle with creditors myself and have learned alot from your site. I had read that you usually get the best deal when your account has "aged" well...I am only 7 days late with my payment and turned down one offer that "Cabela's credit card" wanted to give me.They are calling me on the same day and has offered to drop the balance 50% and pay it off in 3 pymts.The pymts are a little high and asked if she could stretch it out over 5 months.She is going to put this offer in and see what happens.

I had a loan with LoanPointUSA. The loan was for $500.00 I have paid them over double that amount and upon learning that they are illegal and a bunch of crooks I decided they are not getting anymore of my money. I closed out my checking account and sent them that letter revoking everything. I have contacted the Dept. of Finance in my state. The Dept. of Finance assured me they were illegal and told me not to pay them another dime! Well, yesterday Geneva Roth called. (That is another name for LoanPointUSA) They called at work, I told them I couldn't take the call. I hung up.
