This is the e-mail conversation I have been having with Astro Lending. They at one point say my account is paid in full and than the next e-mail say it is being sent to collections. They owe me money... They certainly have some nerve. Ms. Flowers, I completly understand that you are just doing your job, but I would appreciate it if you would forward my e-mail to your supervisor in order to get this taken care of outside of the legal system.

Ok so how do you find out if an internet lender is licensed in your state? I am in MS and my internet lenders are City View Cash, Magnum, and 123 Cashnet. I am going today to close my bank account and reopen a new one. I'm sick of City View just taking money whenever they want. Since I have 3 storefront loans too, I have spoken to Progressive Debt Relief. They said that they could work with the storefronts as well. Has anyone worked with this company? Is this worth the time and effort? And the money they charge?

i need some help finding out if this is a legitimate company or not. we have a $5,000 debt with city bank. it was turned over to Blitt & Gaines. they called and sent a letter that they were going to take us to court over the debt. we called and tried to set up a payment plan. they told us that to stop the lawsuit we had to pay them $400 immediately. we did. we then had to send them another $1,000 within a month. they said once we send that amount, they would settle for 60% of the remaining debt.

It's been a long time since I have been out of work so maybe this is why I wasn't aware of this new method of screening perspective employees! On a recent application my signature was required so my possible new employer could do a credit check on me?????? Needless to say I didn't sign it, if they check my credit, HA! :shock: Is this standard now? :?

I plan on going to a bankruptcy attorney next month and give them $500 for now to start everything. I am disabled and on SS. I have no assets and debt around $25,000. I plan on doing chapter 7. I know it will cost more than $500 most likely but how soon is an automatic stay go into effect? Do I have to pay them the whole amount first or can I pay some now just to get things started? I already have one judgment against me and I am being sued on another debt right now.

They left a message on my answering machine and the lady left her name and the name of the company and this has been going on for a few weeks. They stated that a claim has been filed against me and I need to call them ASAP. I called back and they told me what it was for. I told the lady my income is exempt, I have no assets and I am going to file for bankruptcy next month. She told me that it doesn't matter if I am on SSDI, they can still take my money, I laughed at her and told her to look up the laws. Then they put me on the phone with a Mr.

After submitting an answer to the summon, I do not want to deal with mann-bracken so can I just go ahead and put the debt on debt management program?

As I said in my previous msg, all of my loans are current. And not due again until the 6th. Should I wait and call like 1 - 3 days before the loan is due or ?? Thanks for your input all of your help is very much appreciated!
