F'n Citi! These low down scum bags will stop at nothing. I am currently paying them via a payment arrangement that THEY set up and authorized. They call non stop, just like they did prior to setting up the arrangement.

Hello everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I owe $1500 to WellsFargo for a treadmill that I never should have bought. (Different perspective back then!) The payments used to be about 60.00 per month. Then my hours got cut at work after 14 years, something I never expected, and now I am behind on all my accounts and looking to go the settlement route. What do you think my chances are at settling this account? Would I be better off just trying to get into a hardship agreement with them? Thanks!

Hi all and thanks. Myself and former roommate broke a lease. We were summoned to court over $1800 owed. I showed, he did not. Well judgement for that amount was awarded to the landlord. How can I prevent my wages from being garnished? My old roommate is long gone and will never be found, so I am probably liable for the entire amount. Thanks!

Can anyone give me any information on taping phone calls I receive from OC's and CA's. I live in Michigan which is a two way state. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. Thanks

If I live in Michigan can I legally tape record my conversations with creditors, and could I use them in court?

Recently a 505$ medical debt appeared on my report, only on one of the three CR agencies. I can't afford to pay it now. I did get medical services but do not remember the bill being so high. Would anyone please help with an advice? Should I send debt validation letter? How should I approach this in order to get it of my report as soon as I can? Thank you guys!:) Steve

hello community:) if anyone has a moment to advise it would be very appreciated. I sent DV letters to two collecting agencies. One was 128$ the other 132$. Original creditor for one was Bank of America, the other I am not sure. I never heard from them and it has been 30 days since my CMRR green slips returned. What should I do next in order to get these of my reports asap? (applying for student loans as soon as I get this done. Should I resend DV letters? Should I dispute info with CR Agencies? How? I need some assistance on dealing with a CA Kramer Frank. They acquired my account in late Aug08. I sent a Debt Validation letter to determine that they had the account. The forwarded the account info from Ford. But the outstanding balance was inaccurate. I called them several times. Sent emails (have records of all) They would not call and sent no further statements after Sept08. In Jan09 received the summons to court. While in court I explained to the judge that I was never give the accurate outstanding balance until I received the summons. That the stop all communication.

I got a phone call today from American Consumer Credit. They said they just wanted to let me know they have written off my loan, and that I now owe them zero. Kind of odd, since I haven't paid them back any money, including the principal of the loan. I asked her to follow this up in writing, which they said they would do by email. I have not received an email as of yet. I had sent them a fax, stating that I could not find that they were legal in california, nor could I find any legal business information for them in the state of Delaware, where they are supposedly located.
